abbiamo cenato in questo ristorante.. la zuppa di pesce nonostante fosse sul menú non era disponibile. abbiamo poi ordinato due paste allo scoglio e penso che pasta peggiore non l’abbiamo mangiata, il pesce era fresco ma il sugo liquido e con un retrogusto di paprika la pasta era scotta e insipida. abbiamo fatto portare indietro i piatti assaggiando solo il minimo per capire come fosse il piatto e al momento del conto non ci hanno fatto neanche nessun tipo di sconto, anche se non avevamo mangiato nulla

Ontzettend lekkere pasta's gegeten bij dit restaurant. Veel keus in diverse gerechten. Je kan binnen zitten maar ook een klein stukje verderop op een terras op een mooi plein. De bediening was prima. Helaas waren van het kindermenu niet alle onderdelen beschikbaar (geen pizza en geen ijs).

Just perfect. The food is exceptional. Service outstanding. Tableware beautifull. We aren't the type to visit the same restaurant twice. We went here 3 times and didn't regret it! Thank you Rocco for your perfect service, great advice and friendly gestures. Thank you chef for the gastronomic pleasure. You guys understand your trade! If we ever return to Zadar, we will definitely return to Terracotta!

Un desastre. Acudimos por la localización y la buena nota en esta app. Fue una decepción total. No tenían un montón de platos de la carta, y menos mal… porque si una ensalada, unos tagliatelle y un risotto estaban malísimos, si llegamos a gastar los 65€ de la lubina y está igual que el resto de platos, nos da algo.

We had a very disappointing experience on our second visit to this restaurant. We had been earlier in the week and the food was lovely, which is why we decided to come back — but unfortunately, this visit was a complete contrast. We had a 9:30pm booking and arrived on time, but were left standing until 10:00pm for a table. When the waiter finally came to take our order after 10pm, he said the kitchen was closing and “he’d do his best to get us a starter”. This made us feel like an inconvenience rather than valued guests. The arancini starter was undercooked, and we waited another 45 minutes for our mains, which were very disappointing — the steak was badly overcooked, and not at all what we expected based on our previous visit. To make matters worse, the waiter told us at the end that we would have received better service if we had come earlier, despite the fact that we arrived exactly on time for our booking. If the restaurant can’t honour late bookings properly, they simply shouldn’t take them. Overall, this place feels very hit or miss — great food and service one day, then chaotic and careless the next. Unfortunately, this experience has really put us off returning.

The staff was very friendly, even tho it was full they kept an eye on everyone one and made sure everyone’s happy. Our waiter Saśa was funny, offered us new drinks or dessert and made sure we feel comfortable. The food was a 10/10. The meat was perfectly well done, still soft. The truffle pasta was the best i‘ve ever ate, and in combination with the parmesansauce and scampi pasta it was delicious. We went there 2 times in 3 days because we liked it that much:) So if you’re in Zadar it’s definitely worth a visit, even if it’s just for a drink:)

I had dinner here with my friends and ended up with the worst food poisoning I’ve had in years — from the tuna steak. I didn’t eat anything else that evening and only drank water, so I know for a fact it was the tuna. I was vomiting non-stop all night and the entire next day. Then I spent two more days feeling completely wrecked. It was absolutely brutal. This food poisoning cost me half my vacation. Totally unacceptable. I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone. Avoid this place.

Ein tolles Restaurant, in der Altstadt von Zadar. Das Essen ist unfassbar gut und wir haben uns sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich unseren Kellner Saša, er ist einer der Gründe, neben dem tollen Essen und der angenehmen Atmosphäre, warum wir zwei Mal während unseres Urlaubs hier essen waren. Eine volle Empfehlung und ein must visit in Zadar. Odlično! 😊

I don't usually leave reviews. They are usually if they are excellent or terrible...we (2 adults 3 kids) had a bad experience. In short, we waited to order about 10 mins (writing was on the wall - stayed given google and trip advisor reviews were good). We ordered.. waiter never put through order for two of the kids..there were only 5 of us and we ordered only mains and 2x drinks so not a huge order to get right) Limited apologies, asked for ketchup after issue was identified..charged €3.. ( as they are entitled to per the menu) small gesture to waive charge would.ve been nice.. Anyway food was fine.. service bad...oh the table beside us bolted too. Shrimp was raw... AVOID

Wir haben dieses erstklassige Restaurant zufällig entdeckt. Es befindet sich auf einem Platz in der Altstadt von Zadar und ist relativ ruhig gelegen. Abends ist natürlich etwas mehr los, aber man kann sich trotzdem normal unterhalten! Das Essen ist wunderbar, deswegen waren wir auch 3x dort. Die Kellner und Kellnerinnen waren sehr aufmerksam und immer freundlich! An unserem letzten Abend kam sogar der Chef persönlich an unseren Tisch und fragte nach dem Wohlbefinden :)) Ich kann dieses Restaurant nur weiter empfehlen. :))

Three of us visited Terracotta during our brief stay in Zadar. It was our first seafood meal in Dalmatia. While the food was lovely, the service left much to be desired. We chose to sit in the square nearby the restaurant, and were assigned to sit at a small, cramped table. We could not help noticing that every other table had far more space - there was a couple lounging near the square, occupying two tables themselves, and all other companies of three had two tables to themselves. Since we were sharing our food, we asked our waiter, Sasa, if we could have the adjacent table as well. He did not seem too keen on this idea but agreed to give us that table as well eventually. After we had made our order, he made a snide comment that “you need an extra table just for that?” It didn’t seem like a joke - he wasn’t smiling at all. When the food finally arrived after a long wait, there was barely enough space for all of it despite the extra table. Sasa complained again that we had taken up an extra table that could be used for other customers. This was despite there being at least two other tables available just next to us, and the fact that almost every other patron was seated at a table with at least one empty chair each. I’m not sure why we warranted such differential poor treatment - perhaps because we were the only Asians in the restaurant? We could only speculate. To the chef’s credit, the food was decent. The black risotto was wonderfully flavored. The sea bass was perfectly cooked and very fresh, and came with a delicious in-house sauce. The mussels were perhaps a tad overcooked, but the saffron base was well done. Unfortunately, the poor service had left such a bad taste in our mouths that could not be offset by even the best food in the world. It was a far cry from the friendly and helpful service we generally encountered elsewhere in Croatia especially along the Dalmatian coast, and was overall a disappointing and humiliating experience.
