Poche sere fa ho cenato con i miei amici da Julija, nel cuore di Lubiana. Non avevamo prenotato, c’era tanta gente e abbiamo dovuto aspettare quasi mezz’ora per il tavolo. Locale molto gettonato, sotto gli occhi di tutti, in una delle strade di Lubiana più trafficate di persone che passeggiano. Cibo molto buono. Si può mangiare sia all’esterno che all’interno. C’è da dire che gli interni sono arredati benissimo, il locale è davvero carino! Attenzione alle traduzioni sul menu, hanno tradotto “dumplings” con “rotoli” e non riuscivamo a capire se fossero ravioli o qualcosa di arrotolato tipo girelle di pasta o rotolini. Ai miei amici è piaciuto tantissimo il goulash, un po’ meno gli struklji. Pochissima scelta per vegetariani e vegani, dopo una serie di domande e risposte e dopo aver sentito i camerieri insistere nel dire che dovevamo attenerci ai piatti per com’erano presentati nel menu, finalmente hanno accettato di preparare una polenta con i funghi porcini che non era nel menu. Non abbiamo davvero capito se il cameriere scherzasse o se era serio nel dire quello che ci diceva, ogni volta rispondeva quasi infastidito alle richieste (anche le più semplici come qualche fetta di pane), come se stessimo chiedendo la luna ma puntualmente ci accontentava. Lo consiglierei in ogni caso, abbiamo passato una bella sera mangiando bene e pagando meno di 20€ a testa. Do tre stelle e non di più per due motivi : per la comunicazione con il cameriere un po' difficoltosa e per la poca varietà di opzioni vegetali nel menu.

Julija is a great place. I ate there steak and that was fantastic. I can offer it, because it so delicious. Staff are nice and the place have good location in the centre of Ljubljana.

The Goulash was amazing and the service was perfect. A lovely dinner out :) A tiny bit annoying that people were continuously walking through the outdoor eating area to ask for tables, but they were fully booked.

Réservation obligatoire sinon vous vous ferez jeter. N'espérez pas un personnel arrangeant, ou une estimation du temps d'attente comme dans les restaurants alentours, ici on ne vous répondra pas et on vous répétera juste que c'est complet sans même vous regarder.

Pity that when rates ate only given in whole stars, as I would have given it 4,5, The food was quite good. But what was most exiting about this place is the atmosphere and decoration. There was a queue but we got an approximate time for our table. We could go to a short walk to explore this nice city and when we got back we could get our table straight away.

Stayed on Ljubljana for a few days, did the usual wander the streets looking for something to eat, we came across this place and to be fair on the surface it looked very nice, looks are deceptive, these people are just plain rude, the rottweiler front of house had the personality of a dead sheep, found somewhere else close by with a more welcoming ambiance.

Very nice restaurant, with great food and good service. Really lovely decor and atmosphere too. We were 5 adults and had a nice evening in the back of the main restaurant.
