Despite the food being good, we were super disappointed by the service. Food was delayed for over an hour without any explanation. We were a group of 5, and after the 1h wait, only 3 plates arrived. The other 2 were delayed further for 15-20 mins, leaving the others finishing their plate and we are still waiting. An explanation about the delays was never given.

Best restaurant in Ljubljana in my opinion. I cannot confirm some of the negative reviews here saying the staff is unfriendly or the restaurant is overhyped. We got there around 8:30 PM as a party of 2 persons without a reservation, but the waiters and the owner himself were extremely nice and accommodating. We had to wait for maybe 10 minutes and received a table (maybe we were lucky, but in any case it is worthwhile to ask them if it’s possible to wait for a table). The food was excellent, our table service very nice, attentive, and quick. The prices are reasonable as well. This is fine dining after all, so 15-25 euros for a main dish is perfectly fine. You wouldn’t pay less (rather more) in Germany, UK, France, or Italy. Overall we paid about 80 euros for 2 main dishes, 3 glasses of wine, 2 bottles of water, dessert, and a schnapps. Great experience, can only recommend it !

We were just thrilled to arrive at the highly prestigious hour of 9:00 pm, but imagine our sheer joy after waiting 15 minutes, when the waiter graciously informed us, that the kitchen had decided to call it a day and wouldn't deign to serve us any main dishes! Of course, how silly of us to assume that a Saturday evening during the peak of summer tourism would warrant such trivial things as, you know, being able to actually eat. It's just so endearingly provincial, we can't help but chuckle with delight! 🙄

Sehr leckere Jakobsmuscheln und die Trüffelgnocchis waren auch sehr gut. Der Service war top und draußen sitzt man vor allem im Sommer sehr nett. Einen Besuch ist das Restaurant Julija definitiv wert!

Yöresel ve çok lezzetli yemekleri var, etler harika. Ördek confit çok lezzetli ama risotto purcini inanılmaz. Önden risotto yenilebilir. Çalışanlar biraz katı kurallara sahipler.

Des gnocchis à la truffe incroyables, le meilleur plat que j'ai mangé depuis très longtemps 😍😍😍. Un super resto avec des spécialités slovènes de qualité. Tout est fait maison et à la perfection. Si vous ne devez faire qu un seul resto à Ljubljana, faites celui là ❤️❤️❤️

My family loves this place and we go there every time we visit Ljubljana. The food is as always delicious, however the portions became smaller. Dish with a veal used to be much bigger with a big portion of asparagus on the side. Now it’s “asparagus decoration”. Still a great place option in Ljubljana center, just think quality went down due to popularity. If you want to be seated outside, recommend making a reservation!
