The Guesthouse Stari Tisler is a few hundred metres from both the train station and the bus station in Ljubljana. Stari Tisler is on the edge of the Old Town and again only a few hundred metres into the touristy town centre. |The rooms are very basic. There is NO fridge or tea coffee facilities in the room. The rooms are air conditioned but the decor is fairly old and has seen better days. The rooms are clean, though old, and I found mine comfortable. The staff were helpful, friendly and efficient. |The breakfast was very European, cold meats, pastries, cheese and cereal - do not expect a resort style buffet - I enjoyed the breakfast. |The restaurant attached to the Guesthouse was very reasonably priced and the quality of the food was very good. The service was good. |Overall a very economical, though basic place to stay.

Everything is great except the mattress situation is pretty darn awful and need urgent replacement with a new one. It’s like a hammock once you lay down, I feel they can do better.

Die Zimmer reichen durchaus für eine Nacht, auch wenn die Matratze dünn ist und auf einer Holzplatte liegt. Angenehm ist das nur bedingt. Restaurant in Ordnung. Das Gulasch war lecker, die Sauce hat schon ziemlich nach Saucenbinder geschmeckt, dazu gab es einige Brotscheiben. Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend

Unsere letzte Übernachtung vor der Heimreise. Unbedingt zu empfehlen. Sehr gute Lage, sehr freundliche Leute, schönes Frühstück. Wenn wir wieder mal hier sind, werden wir auf jeden Fall hier übernachten.

Nice place. Strategic position. Breakfast and dinner to good (the dinner was not included in the price that we pay but, anyway it was to good). You can find everything. Special for the kids is ok.
