We were having a Sunday lunch on our way from Ljubljana to eastern Slovenia. We thought the drive from highway through center of Maribor will be worth the effort, but unfortunately we were disappointed. Last time we have eaten at restaurant Anderlic was many years ago (10 years or so) and we kept this restaurant in very good memory. But this time we were disappointed. Especially the service was very bad. We do not know if all the waiters are serving that badly, or we just had bad luck (our waitress was a blond short-haired lady). To make few examples – a table cloth was not exchanged for us and was very dirty, the waitress brought the wrong drink and we waited long time to get the right one. After a reminder she said she forgot. After that, the service of food was also very slow and not really friendly. For the bill we had to ask few times, at the end we still did not get it. Then we went into the restaurant and stayed by the bar until our waitress came to charge us. Anyhow, our waitress had enough time to chat with all her aquaintances rather than serving the guests. This was very disappointing. We also did not like their new terrace outside, they made a huge roof over the tables, therefore on Sunday afternoon there was very very loud. Forget about eating in calm and peace. The food was good, the portions too small for an average man, but ok for an average woman. Prices were ok. All in all - a canteen style restaurant, with very bad service. We feel very sorry about the “good old” Anderlic restaurant and we will miss it. As to this “new” Anderlic we will not return.
