The Šare family, known for their warm hospitality, carries a rich culinary heritage that spans nearly four decades. Originating with their first restaurant, Bota Šare, established in the late 1980s, the family tradition lives on in BOWA. Now owned by the fourth generation of the Šare family, BOWA celebrates the family's fishing roots from Mali Ston, ensuring that every dish highlights the culinary legacy passed down through generations.

Restoran BOWA – Jedinstveno iskustvo koje nadmašuje očekivanja Naš nedavni posjet restoranu BOWA bio je doista nezaboravan – iskustvo koje se pamti, priča i s oduševljenjem preporučuje. Cijeli dan proveli smo u ambijentu koji se s punim pravom može nazvati čarobnim spojem prirode, gastronomije i vrhunske usluge. Dan je započeo vožnjom privatnim brodom restorana – izuzetno ugodna i pažljivo organizirana usluga koja je već na početku dala naslutiti da nas očekuje nešto posebno. Osoblje na brodu bilo je iznimno profesionalno, srdačno i gostoljubivo, što je uvelike pridonijelo pozitivnom dojmu. Po dolasku u BOWA, dočekala nas je lokacija koja oduzima dah – skrivena uvale, kristalno čisto more, netaknuta priroda i opuštajuća atmosfera. Savršen balans luksuza i autentičnosti. Riblji meni bio je besprijekoran. Svako jelo pripremljeno je s iznimnom pažnjom, od svježih i vrhunskih namirnica, s naglaskom na jednostavnost i čistoću okusa. Uz to, usluga je bila na vrhunskoj razini – diskretna, prisutna i izrazito profesionalna. Poseban trenutak dana bio je nastup glazbenika na saksofonu – glazba koja se nenametljivo stapala s ambijentom i stvarala uistinu magičnu atmosferu. Zaključno, BOWA nudi više od gastronomije – to je iskustvo koje angažira sva osjetila, spaja luksuz s prirodnim ljepotama i potvrđuje da vrhunska usluga, lokalna kuhinja i pažljivo osmišljeni detalji čine razliku. Iskreno i toplo preporučujemo – BOWA je destinacija koju se ne posjećuje samo jednom.

This is a unique restaurant that if you’re in the area you must visit. It’s kind of surreal at times. The setting is so amazing and the food and service equally good. It’s a sort of place where if some Hollywood A-lister got off a boat and took a table you would not be the least surprised.

Went on a lovely afternoon for lunch with my wife. Was not happily greeted by the staff. The waiter by the name of Christian, had very little advice to give us on the menu. Sat down with three other couples, and for whatever reason our dinner came out after the other two couples had already finished theirs. Apparently, they were understaffed since the waiter took on a table of 6, and our food came out cold! Booked two sun beds for three hours, but the lunch took so long, we only had a half hour to enjoy the sun bed before the transfer took us back to the shore. No big deal- would not recommend.

Amazing restaurant in the beautiful bay on the island of Sipan. If you are in Dubrovnik, you need to visit this place. Once you come there, you don't want to leave. Great food, amazing wines and great service :)

BOWA – best of what’s around, and it certainly didn’t disappoint! Tucked away on a small island near Dubrovnik, this really was a little slice of paradise. The boat transfer to get there set the scene perfectly, and our private cabana came with stunning views. Service was impeccable – they truly couldn’t do enough to make us feel welcome and looked after. The food was five-star, straight out of the sea and couldn’t have been fresher. There was even the bonus of an ‘inter-course’ dip in the sea to cool off before finally heading home by boat. A fantastic experience all round!

Our visit to Bowa yesterday was 1st class from start to finish. Johnny collected us from Šipanska Luka harbour in his awesome boat and the short ride to Bowa was just the first great experience of the day. On arrival we were taken straight to our sunbeds. Unfortunately there were no cabanas available but for me, being right on the waters edge was the best location. Luca was our waiter for the day and from start to finish he was very attentive,informative and a genuinely nice guy. After enjoying our 3 hour allocation at the beach swimming in the clear waters we were taken to our table for our meal. The meal was incredible. We had 3 courses and it was delicious. Luca and Sheila worked together to serve us throughout the meal and continued to make us feel very special and again the service was first class.

BOWA was absolutely incredible. We went two days in a row because it was so good. The cuisine is creative and fresh. Delicious! The view is stunning. The staff is so hospitable and gracious. From the moment you step off the boat, the young man greets you at the dock with a smile and friendly welcome. Our waiters were so attentive (Christian and Dominick). I have a food allergy and both waiters made sure my lunch was suited to my need- which I really appreciated!! It’s so nice to swim in the beautiful water surrounding BOWA. 5 star experience. A memorable day. I know every time we visit Dubrovnik we will go back to BOWA- because it truly is the “Best Of What’s Around”!

Bowa is an amazing experience that you will not regret. We originally came 2 years ago, and when we returned to the area, we knew we had to come back. You will not be disappointed by the view, service, food, or beach!
