One does not simply give oneself the name Toscana (Tuscany). You set yourself a very high standard to keep. So, when they invited us to local sweet shop/caffe called Toscana, the first thing we expected was an array of unusual ice creams. The array was adequate for Toscana, but above average for the "usual" Slovenian ice cream parlors. Then there was the size of the ice cream. As usually we ordered 2 lumps of ice cream because 1 is typically not much in Slovenia. But we got probably about half a kilo of it ... Way too much. If we knew how much we'd get we'd order less. Talk about brainfreeze and headache ... Huge portions, but at least tasty and fruity. The waitress looked like some student who clearly shows you that she doesn't want to be there but she couldn't get a better job. Not very Tuscany, I think. All in all, a crowdy, popular place, nice, different, above average ice cream, and below average staff.
