Amazing collection, playable consoles, arcade, nice library on the top floor and even a small shop with (mostly) Nintendo merch. 100% privately funded, it’s a must for every video game/tech geek, great for kids, no time limit so you can play as long as you wish. This is one of the best history museums in Zagreb. Highly recommended and don’t be put off by the ticket price it is well worth every cent. Oh one more thing - the staff is supernice and friendly.

A fantastic museum on three floors, leading you through the evolution of videogames from the 60s to the 2010s, ending with the Wii U. There are many consoles with very detailed explanations and detailed histories on each one. Adding on to this, you can play games on a lot of these consoles, along with a whole arcade room! It's a very well-kept place too, very neat and tidy. Interactions with the staff were minimal for us, but they were very kind and polite. The only thing I'd like to see added is a playable PS2 and maybe even a playable Eye Toy, if it's still possible to get those. Five stars, a highly recommended visit!

After visiting several museums in Zagreb that didn’t quite feel worth the price, it was a real pleasure to step into the Video Game History Museum! Packed with fascinating exhibits for both younger and older visitors, this museum offers the chance to learn some amazing facts, revisit the history of gaming, or simply enjoy classic arcade games and indulge in a wave of nostalgia. Whatever your reason for visiting, this place won’t disappoint! Huge kudos to everyone involved. 10/10, and we’ll definitely come back to play some more :)

Nice overview over gaming history. Many games to try for yourself. Arcade until more or less modern console games. Bring some time to play and try the games yourself. Can be a little overstimulating. A lot of noises etc. The staff is really nice. Xbox console for Halo would be nice.

If you're in Zagreb and even remotely interested in video games, the Game Museum is an absolute must-visit. It's clear that someone has put a lot of passion and effort into creating this place — the collection is extensive and beautifully arranged, covering everything from the earliest consoles to more recent generations. What really impressed me was that many of the retro games are actually playable. It's not just a display of old tech behind glass — you can sit down and try them out, which adds a whole new level of nostalgia and fun. Personally, I loved seeing my 5-year-old trying out some of the games I grew up with. Watching him enjoy titles from my childhood was a really special experience. The museum does a great job of bridging generations and showing how far gaming has come. Highly recommended for families, gamers, and anyone curious about the history of video games. It’s both fun and surprisingly heartwarming.

This place is fantastic. I spent an hour and a half here and it wasn’t enough. Very well laid out and super interactive. I love that they’re open late so I had time to have fun after dinner. They’re new and adding and tweaking things so it’ll get even better. The staff were great and informative, too. I felt like I was transported right back to the 80s! Highly, highly recommend.

Posjetili smo novi muzej u gradu i uistinu zaslužuje svaku pohvalu. Za sve koji žele uz dobar izbor igrica još nešto naučiti o tome kako je čitava priča s igricama krenula, neka se prošetaju do VGHM-a. Osoblje je vrlo ljubazno i na raspolaganju.

It was a really nice experience for every age because some people like the nostalgia and the connection they have with the games that you can play and some younger guests can live through the evolution of video games and play them on the old consoles

Visited today - was downtown waiting for another store to open and looked up other items in the area to pass the time. This was an entirely unexpected surprise and treat! I am an avid video game enthusiast for nintendo pre-game cube and some of the mac computer games. I saw maniac mansion represented and lost my mind - I was also infuriated to once again meet my nemesis Sega - Echo dolphin game. Turns out the game makes as much sense to me at 35 as it did at 5; second only to our original nintendo Jaws game on impossible to even comprehend. This was better than any plan I had expected for the day and was such a phenomenal surprise. I hope to come back some day!
