Vivarij Postojnska jama

Človeška ribica
Človeška ribica (Proteus anguinus) je največja jamska žival in se lahko pohvali z življensko dobo do 100 let. Popolnoma je prilagojena življenju v temi ter se hrani z različnimi vodnimi nevretenčarji. Njen obstoj je spodbudil razvoj nove znanosti – biospeleologije.

If you're not a fan of cave fauna, Vivarium might not appeal to you, especially since its main attraction - the olm - can also be seen in an aquarium during the Postojna Cave tour. However, if you decide to visit, perhaps taking advantage of the discounted admission as part of a combo ticket with the caves and the Predjama Castle, you'll experience a half-hour tour of a cave that once served as a research laboratory. In the cave, you can observe local fauna in terrariums and aquariums. Unfortunatelly, many of the creatures are so tiny that they're difficult to spot. Be prepared for the cave's temperature, which is around 10°C. The entire exhibit is very well done, with informative panels and an audio guide available in multiple languages, which I particularly appreciated.

Hat uns garnicht gefallen. Die Grottenolme sieht man auch in der großen Höhle. In unseren Augen ist das Abzocke.

I visited the Vivarium directly after the caves and it wasn't really worth it. There are 3 olms you can see - if you're lucky. There will be long queues in front of them due to children and tourists taking hundreds of photos. Other than that, there are some tiny animals like cave beetles and cave shrimp, but I didn't even find half of them and they're not as exciting as the olms. You get some information signs and a free audio guide about the animals, so if you're invested into that, you can spend a while here. If you come just out of curiosity and don't want to listen to long audio explanations, you'll probably be disappointed.

A good place to see the baby dragons— however, you can also see them in the main cave. Not sure if the vivarium is a must see— even if you have time to spare to wait for your train into the cave.

Nie wiem czemu tak słabo inni oceniają, można zobaczyć odmieńca z bliska a reszta zwierząt jest maleńka i często schowana ale i tak warto

Lohnt sich nicht, da man die Grottenolme auch in der großen Höhle sehen kann. Der Preis ist viel zu teuer dafür.

Dont waste your money on this. Not worth even a free entrance. You see the same lizard for free when you are in the cave. Rest are just bugs that are not even visible.

Was mir gefallen hat - das Vivarium befindet sich in einer kleinen, etwas dunklen Höhle. Es ist schön aufgebaut und beschrieben. Leider ist es für den Preis viel zu klein. Wir sind, obwohl wir uns Zeit gelassen haben, nach 20min durch gewesen. Im Prinzip gibt es nur den einen großen Raum, mit ein paar Aquarien/Terrarien, wo jedoch nicht klar ist, ob sich in jedem überhaupt was befindet und wenn ein Tier drinnen ist, ob dieses auch lebt.

Sklamanie. Zbytočne vyhodené peniaze. ,, Ľudskú rybku,, uvidíte aj v jaskyni na konci prehliadky a ostatné živočíchy neuvidíte vôbec, lebo je ich málo a sú väčšinou schované.

This place was a disappointment. You can't really see most of the creatures as it's super dark, the creatures are tiny and there is condensation on most of the glass enclosures. Only went there because there was quite some time for our cave slot, but it is not worth the money. The caves truly fascinating but this one can be skipped. The karst exhibition is a better option instead if you have spare time on hand.

Lovely small aquarium or mini zoo with some examples of the insects and animals living in the caves… the temperature is 10 degrees or below. You are not allow to take photos with flash disturbs the little creatures. Is very dark in there and wet. Bring some trainers with grip … you can see there the little dragan or better know as salamander you must pay for this attraction…. The place is very small but interesting

Very interesting insides in the biology of caves. Prepare for the cold inside, it's 10 degrees Celsius! It's for the scientific interested among you. For all others or kids I would not recommend buying a ticket.

Ako sprievodný program k návšteve jaskyne je to super. Spoznáte tvory, ktoré žijú v jaskyni, niektoré uvidíte aj naživo. Je to asi na 20minút, opäť dostanete audio sprievodcu, ktorý vám priblíži informácie o jednotlivých stanovištiach.
