This hotel perfectly complements the beautiful nature of the Lopud island. Everything was great, room, food, beach, staff, cleaning. We wish to come back one day, and i think we will. Hvala Lafodia :)

We had purchased a transfer to the hotel, but when we arrived, there was no driver in sight. We had to call the hotel to ask where the driver was. After a while, he arrived—but definitely not a great way to start a holiday!|At the reception, whenever you ask something, no one really knows and they just direct you to someone else.||For example, we stayed in a suite that was supposed to include executive sun loungers. We asked about this a couple of times—on the first occasion, we were told to come back the next day. The second time, two different staff members were trying to figure it out and said they had never heard of it, even though it’s clearly listed on the website. I even showed them that part on the site. In reality, there were no such loungers—just regular chairs available to all guests.|There were empty cabanas every day, so why not offer those to suite guests, for example?||The suite was also supposed to include bottled water, but none was provided. I also wouldn’t describe the room as “soundproof”—you could hear noise from outside, the hallway, and stomping from the room above.|The lights in one of the rooms didn’t work either, and the door to the second room slammed loudly every time someone nearby closed their door—perhaps loose hinges? This was very disturbing, especially at night when trying to sleep. Definitely not quite “suite level” quality.||There was also a bird’s nest on the balcony, which meant there was bird droppings and even a broken egg. How is it possible this hadn’t been cleaned? It was clearly there for a while, and during our entire 5-night stay, it was never cleaned.||Some individual staff members were friendly and helpful, but overall there was no sense of real customer appreciation—just doing the bare minimum when asked. Most staff came across as rude.||Consistency was seriously lacking. We went to the adventure services on Sunday to inquire about a trip to Dubrovnik and our options. We were told there’s a public ferry, an evening tour, or a private boat transfer for €180 round trip. I confirmed with the staff that this private option was directly to Dubrovnik, since we had two children and long walking distances wouldn’t work for us. The next day, when I went to book it, the staff member said such a service didn’t exist—only a private trip involving both boat and car. Sigh. Should have booked when the original person was there.||We purchased half board. The food wasn’t anything special—especially in the upstairs restaurant. For example, desserts were frozen and sometimes still partly icy. Wouldn’t it be better to just serve desserts that you can actually make well?|One time we paid for drinks in cash, and we were owed about €20 in change. We asked for the change back (we had planned to leave a smaller tip), but we never received it. The server clearly just took it as a tip. That doesn’t sit well—and some might consider that theft.|The downstairs restaurant La Baja was better, though eating there was disturbed by wasps.||The spa was a nice bonus and beautifully done. Of course, in the summer heat, it’s not the most popular area, but definitely the best part of the hotel. A special thanks to the great yoga instructor as well.||However, the hotel was extremely expensive—nearly €500 per night—and rated four stars. For that price, in many parts of Europe (e.g., Italy), you can get a real four-star hotel experience.|So unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone genuinely seeking a 4-star experience. At best, it’s a 3-star hotel.||The website looks great, and technically all the promised services are “there,” but in reality they are either not available or very poor in quality. At the very least, make sure the basics are in order and that the services listed on your website are actually available. For example, if you don’t have kids’ yoga, remove it from the website. ☺️||Ultimately, the lasting feeling is disappointment—spending so many nights in a hotel where the price and quality just don’t match. If it had cost €200/night, it still would have been disappointing. At €500/night, it’s unacceptable. Unfortunately, we will never return.

Nažalost, naš boravak u hotelu Lafodia na Lopudu bio je daleko ispod očekivanja i standarda koje oglašava. Već pri samom dolasku stvari su krenule nizbrdo. Iako smo unaprijed obavijestili hotel da dolazimo kasnije zbog kasnog brodskog dolaska, dočekala nas je gužva na recepciji i dugotrajan proces prijave. Nakon prijave, vrata sobe se uopće nisu mogla otvoriti – tri puta sam se morala vraćati na recepciju dok naposljetku nije došao bellboy i otvorio vrata pomoću metalnog ključa. Kad smo napokon ušli, dočekalo nas je još veće razočaranje: soba nije bila pripremljena za tri osobe, unatoč tome što je to unaprijed bilo dogovoreno. Sama soba bila je u katastrofalnom stanju – mrvice i ostaci hrane po podu, dlake po cijelom prostoru, neidentificirani ostaci na podu i zidovima, a kauč na razvlačenje, koji je trebao služiti kao dodatni ležaj, bio je prekriven bijelim mrljama, gljivicama i još više dlaka. Sve je djelovalo kao da soba nije očišćena nakon posljednjih gostiju. Povrh svega, soba je bila namijenjena osobama s invaliditetom, iako to nigdje nije bilo navedeno prilikom rezervacije. Kupaonica je smrdjela na sredstvo za čišćenje koje je očito samo bačeno u odvod da prikrije neugodan miris. Tuš kabina i kada bile su pune dlačica, a staklene površine zamrljane i prljave. Cijeli prostor bio je neugodan i neodržavan. Nakon što smo se žalili i najavili da ćemo biti van sobe dva sata (na plaži), zamolili smo osoblje da dotad pripreme sve kako treba. Međutim, ni nakon tri sata soba nije bila spremna. Nakon još jedne žalbe, dobili smo novu sobu – prostranu, čistu i urednu, no ni ona nije imala sav potreban pribor za tri osobe (čaše, ručnici itd.). Noć nam je dodatno otežala buka iz klima uređaja i cijevi, što je značajno narušilo kvalitetu sna. Doručak nas je dodatno razočarao – vrlo slab izbor hrane i kvaliteta neprimjerena hotelu koji se reklamira s 4 zvjezdice. Pri odlasku iz hotela osoblje nije bilo ni svjesno da smo mijenjali sobu, a na našu primjedbu recepcionerka je samo kratko rekla da će prenijeti nadležnima – bez isprike ili ikakve empatije. Na plaži su kokteli posluženi u malim plastičnim čašama, pola ispunjenim ledom, a okus i količina daleko ispod očekivanja. Tijekom ručka zamoljeni smo da preko kupaćih stavimo ručnik (što razumijemo), ali pri povratku nakon 30 minuta osoblje me zamolilo da obučem majicu ili napustim restoran – dok su strani gosti pokraj nas ručali isključivo u kupaćima bez ikakve primjedbe. Kao domaći gosti koji su došli uživati jedan dan u oazi i opuštanju, ostali smo izuzetno razočarani cjelokupnim iskustvom. Hotel ne bismo preporučili, a mi se svakako ne planiramo vratiti.

Una bomboniera di hotel su un'isola da visitare per la sua bellezza. Ho avuto il piacere di conoscere il direttore, persona simpatica e ospitale. Colazione ben fornita, spa veramente bella (lascio qualche foto) e baretto sulla spiaggia una chicca per un pranzo fronte mare. Consigliato.

We had a wonderful stay at Lopud Lafodia Resort. The location is stunning, the atmosphere peaceful, and everything was perfectly organized for a relaxing vacation. What really stood out for us was the amazing food at the Dalmar restaurant — every dish we tried was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. It was a real culinary highlight of our stay. A special thank you to the lovely and attentive staff at the restaurant: Ricky, Kanye, and Janice — they made every meal feel extra special with their warm service and friendly attitude. We highly recommend this hotel and would like to come back.

Im Großen und Ganzen waren wir mit Hotel zufrieden. Was uns gestört hat, war dass wir die Klimaanlage nicht selbst einstellen konnten und jedes Mal an der Rezeption anrufen mussten um eine Änderung vornehmen zu können. Wäre cool gewesen, wenn man Änderungen bezüglich der Klimaanlage selbst machen könnte. Das Zimmer war sauber, aber an der Dusche waren schon Nutzungsspuren zu sehen. Dusche könnte besser sauber gemacht werden oder vielleicht sogar erneuern. Die Insel lopud ist ziemlich klein, daher ist das Hotel ziemlich gut erreichbar, wenn man mit der Fähre ankommt.

Einstellung der Klimaanlage kann nur an der Rezeption geändert werden. Jedes Mal muss man der Rezeption anrufen. Lage ist top, da die Insel klein ist. Insgesamt ist die Anlage sehr gut. Strand ist top und auch immer freie liegen und Sonnenschirme vorhanden. Pool war nicht überfüllt. Frühstück war gut.

We were a little bit disappointed for the price of the hotel, every time we wanted to try out something in the spa area (Sauna, jacuzzi…)something was broken and it made our stay really unpleasant for what what we paid for… and when we booked the spa suit for 120 minutes, one of the two shower didn’t work, the private jacuzzi wasn’t available and nobody informed us about it… The sauna was not hot as expected, also the Steam bath didn’t have any light, we couldn’t even see anything. Also I was expecting more extra activities from the hotel like fitness or some kind of entertainment… we wanted to use the gym that they advertised and they didn’t even work and they were up on the hill…. The fact that we had to called the reception every time we wanted to change the air conditioner was a little bit annoying. Apart of that all the staff was very friendly and helpful, all the worker were really nice. We wouldn’t come back for that price again… The private beach is amazing and beautiful, really comfortable atmosphere. The hotel room was really good, the bathroom and all the things from there we’re running optimal.

Excellent place, amazing island but the worst staff (especially reception) which could not help about anything. They just make you wait for hours for easy problems then not solve them. The breakfast is lower than I expected.

We had a lovely time at this hotel and some extremely brilliant interactions with some staff members - if you’re looking for top quality service and hospitality, as well as the best food in the hotel, eat at the Dalmar restaurant upstairs. We particularly loved Ricky and Janice, who looked after us several times. ||Breakfast was absolutely brilliant, for me and my partner we had plenty of options and never experienced something running out! One highlight of our trip was seeing Tihomir every morning, who was such a lovely human to chat to and gave us great recommendations for the island and for Dubrovnik. I was ill at the end of the trip and he helped my partner gather some bits to take to the room for me - he really went above and beyond to make us feel special and welcomed! ||Stunning views in the restaurant for sunset, an incredibly picturesque location||The hotel beach was a treat, my partner also went for a treatment at the spa - sadly I was unwell and couldn’t take part in our booked couples treatment however the ladies were super helpful and changed the treatment on the day to a sports massage. Natalia (I think this was her name!) was incredible, my partner absolutely loved his treatment from her and she was very kind in offering help to him when they learned I was ill! ||We could tell there were some improvements being made to this hotel during our time there, for example we think having a gym would be amazing for this resort, especially as it’s advertised as a wellness/fitness hotel. We know not everyone is fussed about work outs on holiday but we ended up travelling to Dubrovnik just for a gym! If the hotel builds a well equipped gym, we would absolutely come back.||The only comment we have to make is the prices of the food (especially at the beach bar) are on the higher side - you can see why as the island prices are high. The value for half board was exceptional with the meals we ate. We don’t drink alcohol, but could see how quickly it could get very expensive drinking there too - just a side note! ||Overall, somewhere we would love to go back to in the future, lopud is stunning and a brilliant trip to do half city/half beach break.

Отличное место для отдыха! С невероятной природой, чистым морем и вкусной едой! Вид из номера вызывал восторг каждое утро, а по вечерам мы прекрасно проводили время в ресторанчике La Baja. Огромное спасибо всем официантам этого ресторана за их улыбки и прекрасное обслуживание. Живая музыка, закат солнца и вкусная еда создавали по-настоящему волшебную атмосферу. Отдых здесь стал для нас настоящей перезагрузкой — обязательно вернёмся снова! Из минусов - нет кабинок для переодевания на пляже.

Hotel smjesten na mirnom otoku,sa predivnim pogledom,uz jako ljubazno osoblje. Pri ulasku i prolasku kroz hotel ima se utisak praznine…Odlican je za ljude koji zele miran i relaksiran ,pasivni odmor,bez buke,jer ne postoje nikakvi dodatni sadrzaji,zabave,muzika,animacije… Uz to, dorucak je od 7-10 ujutru,sto je mozda prerano za one koji bi voljeli nesto duze spavati. Kafe kod bazena radi samo do 18 sati,kao i spa,a restoran do 22 sata. Sobe su ciste,plaza je sljuncana,cista… Ocekivala sam ipak vise.

If i come again i will not stay here. I highly recommend checking out AIRBB options instead the hotel was not good and placed me in inferior room than the one i booked without approving any sort of refund or concession

Fantastic island with great views and relaxed atmosphere. The hotel is well situated with it's own private beach and the transfer provided by the hotel agency is excellent. The Sky cloud room has magnificent views, the hot tub and loungers make good use of the ample wrap around balcony. Only negative would be a lack of storage space. No drinks service at the beach was the reason for one star off the service mark. The Spa has everything from infinity pool to saunas and treatments. Can't wait to return next year.

The room was small, as was the bathroom. The first morning we got out of bed not too early and we had to wait for about 10 minutes before the shower got warm(sort of), the next morning we had to get up at 5.45am to take the ferry to Dubrovnik to be able to get on our flight of 2.05pm(the next ferry was only going at 12.10pm!!). And the shower didn't get warm at all, even after running it atthe highest temperature for more than 20 minutes. Because ofour early departure we gota breakfastbox at reception, which consisted of two small breads from the day before, a banana, a small yoghurt and a small bottle of water. Not really a luxurious breakfast. The first morning we had the breakfast at the hotel which was included. This was not very luxurious either. It was a breakfast buffet, which was way too small for the number of guests. Long queues for the 2 coffee machines and for the only small bread corner with 1 toaster were standard during the whole breakfast we had there. And the quality of the food wasn't too good either. The hospitality wasn't too good either, as we had to walk from the ferry to the hotel with our suitcases and bags. A 15minute walk in the heat of the afternoon. The hotel says they can't pick up baggage after 3pm, as they are not allowed to drive with their golfcarts on the 'main road'. But when you walk to the hotel many golf carts(not even electric) are passing you. Once arrived at the hotel, you have to wait in line and when it is your turn, the receptionist shouts at us that we have to wait, as she has to do something else first. We also got the rude shouting experience at La Baja, the beach bar/restaurant of the hotel, from a waiter who was not willing to make a limoncello spritz, as this was not in the system. When we insisted, because we drank it there the night before too, he did make it, but when we got the bill he charged 16 euros for it, while we paid 11 euros the night before. We didn't complain, but it was everything but hospitable. Ona positive note the spa was very nice and the lady showed us around when we arrived there the first time. That was very nice. The view from the room is very nice too. Negative note again, people are allowed to smoke on the balcony, which makes you sit in other people's smoke on your own balcony. Also at La Baja people are allowed to smoke, making the experience worse. The private beach again is a positive change with nice beds and umbrellas, a nice beach and beautiful clear sea. The guy working at the beach is a very friendly guy too.

Baf experience. Booked an Experience suite. Did not match pictures on Booking.com. Staff were not informed. All staff was undertrained, from the reception to the Restaurant. Booked a table at the concierge, Restaurant was not informed. Waited more than 1 hour for food. Place is very nice but service needs a lot of improvment.

Just returned from 1 week at RMH Lopud Lafodia on a b+b basis. Overall an excellent experience. This hotel will not disappoint. It is in the most beautiful setting overlooking Lopud bay. Views from the hotel are breathtaking. All rooms are well equipped very clean and have sea view but rooms nearer the front of hotel have a wider view of Lopud bay and surrounding islands and mountains. Breakfast is ok with good selection and outdoor terrace with amazing views. Had dinner one evening in La Baja restaurant which was excellent. Lots of choice of restaurants in Lopud bay/harbour area and the ones we tried were all very good. 2 or 3 well stocked shops/supermarkets around the harbour area also. Pool areas at the hotel again were very well presented and the private beach is peace and tranqulity all in one. Swimming in the sea was very safe and the cleanest/clearest most beautiful sea i have ever seen. All staff were so helpful/courteous and mannerable and all spoke very good english along with staff/waiters in restaurants/shops/bars in Lopud. Took public ferry to Dubrovnik on 2 occasions which was approx 20 euros for 2 adults on a return basis and took 1hr each way. As far as i am aware the public ferry was only 3x per day in to Dubrovnik while we were in Lopud at 6am/12.10pm and 2.55pm and returning at latest 8pm from Dubrovnik. No mid morning ferry. Dont know but this service may increase July/August/Sept. Hotel does have private boat/ferry service which we did not use but believe it is quite expensive. Wellness centre at hotel was beautiful with outdoor lounging area and indoor pool with all associated facilities. So a wonderful week in Lopud at RMH Lafodia. Well done and keep up the good work.
