Es ist einfach wunderschön. Für Kimder super. Das alles inklusive super praktisch mit immer hungrigen Kindern. Sie finden immer was leckeres. Beim Essen und Schwimmen im Meer kann man so schön nach Porec schaun. Alle freundlich. Es war einfach wunderschön!!! :-)

I have been coming to this hotel since before the renovation, when it was called the Fortuna and Boris was at reception, and always loved it and the island. I must have visited 10 times at least. This year it felt as if something had been lost, a different atmosphere. With the exception of the concierge, the young lady who checked at the dining room door, and the lovely lady on the sausage cooking station at breakfast, where did all the smiles and welcome chats from the staff go? Our room cleaner didn't even seem to acknowledge us. Apart from that, no complants about the beautifully kept grounds, food was great, what alcoholic drinks we could have on all inclusive was a bit confusing though. I doubt I will return but only because of my mobility. I will always love Isabella Island.

This was our fourth visit to this beautiful hotel. Without doubt, the view across to Porec remains utterly stunning and there is no shortage of restaurants, bars and things to do in and around the area. We had a great week.||We did however notice a big change inside the hotel itself. As I said, we were back for the fourth time but the confusion on check in when we were told about the all inclusive facilities and times and given the all inclusive drinks package details, didn’t fill us with confidence and we had to remind them that we were on half board. We were still given the drinks package leaflet which told us that, as TUI guests, certain alcohol and cocktails were free and this was after we had all agreed we were on half board. This was confusing until I found out the hard way when I had to pay!||We were then asked if it was our first time there. Surely they would have known that we were returning guests and if not, why not?! The nicest part of returning to a hotel is being welcomed back. The Reception staff really don’t seem to care anymore and yet we were asked (when we paid our final bill) if we would like to tip them! When did that start?! ||We noticed how many fewer staff there are now, even in the height of summer. The electronic tag to get yourself into your room, the restaurant and use in the bars is a weird addition. No more personal welcomes to the restaurant and the tag had to be taken off and handed to a bar member to pay for your drink so why design it like a watch if you need to remove it every time? I think the bar staff were also less attentive and friendly except for one lady called Sania. Otherwise the bar staff were hard to attract and quite disinterested which is a big change from the friendly team that used to be there. On the subject of drinks, we were not once offered a drink with our meal during our whole stay. That was very odd.||I used the Spa which was clean and the Receptionist, Katrina (or maybe Katiana) was lovely. The girl who did my treatment by complete contrast didn’t even tell me her name or speak at all throughout. I put this down to a language barrier.||But whatever have you done to the food Valamar? We notice now you are catering mainly now for Central European clients but the quality (not quantity) seemed much poorer and the dishes are just so bland. The cereals were fresh but tasteless, the breads all tasted sweet as did the butter and margarine and the pancetta (labelled as bacon) was horrid. The wurst sausages were nasty and the jam selection was too elite. Why not have a plain old orange marmalade on offer? We don’t all want Fig Jam I’m afraid. I have focused here on breakfast as it is my most important meal of the day due to medication. I don’t expect a full English when abroad by any means, but there weren’t even any mushrooms or cooked tomatoes to be seen. The fruit option was melon, melon or melon most days with an occasional half a kiwi fruit thrown in. We realised quickly that we could no longer get pizza or pasta on the island from the bar or grill (we used to share a pizza at lunch) but presumably these were available to AI guests in the restaurant? We were stuck with chicken or beef burger and chips with salad every day unless we went to the mainland. I notice there is no half board option with TUI in 2026 so suspect that this is so the confusion stops. My partner was sick on two days of our holiday and there was nowhere to get him a light snack to take to the room but hopefully that may change when they go fully AI. However, the All Inclusive option with the food as it is would not encourage us to return. As it was we ate out on 4 nights out of 7 even though we were half board as we were done with beef and chicken at every meal ||I make it sound like we had a dreadful time but we didn’t. We love Porec, I had an amazing special landmark birthday thanks to Gaia, the wonderful Concierge, who helped arrange a big surprise for me and our room was always clean. I also like the fact that you can choose to ‘go green’ and have them miss cleaning your room some days as most of us don’t need it every day. We did end up eating out on 4 nights and what a great experience that turned out to be too, especially on my birthday. It was lovely to eat In Porec itself and absorb the atmosphere. When we returned to the island, we could perhaps have done without the banging nightclub music until 5.30 in the morning drifting across the bay though.||Would we come again? Yes possibly but we will go back to Porec in June or September if we do and we would find another hotel next time. Such a shame as we loved the Isabella in the past.

Our first trip to Croatia was part of a larger European road trip.|We chose an all-inclusive hotel to relax for 5 days before continuing. The hotel was very family-oriented. The room was quite spacious and accommodated all four of us – the teenagers slept on a pull-out sofa.||At first, I was a bit alarmed that our sea view room was located right next to the pool area with a waterslide, but in the end, it didn’t bother us – no one could see into the room.||Special thanks to one dark-haired man at the reception who offered me a new room the next morning. He had remembered my concern, and even though we didn’t end up switching, it left a very positive impression. Overall, the service was very pleasant.||Having traveled to many all-inclusive hotels before, I was surprised that the only alcoholic beverages included were red and white wine and beer, but that’s on me; I should have checked in advance. Usually, the selection is broader.||Food: Always a wide variety.|Pools: There were always some chairs available by the pool, although some guests did reserve them and disappear for hours. There were more chairs by the sea. Our absolute favorite was the infinity pool!|Parking system: Very convenient.|Ferry crossing: Quick and free.

As Tui AI guests we had a similar experience with the drinks package. On checking in we were handed a drinks package leaflet requiring us to pay 15 euros pp a day for ANYTHING other than the self service wine, beer and soft drinks. Obviously we queried this but receptionist was adamant. We later spoke to our lovely rep Shirley who came with us to the bar while we ordered a spritzer and a gin and tonic and received a bill for @ 17 euros. She then went on a mission to sort this out, which she did, but there was no admission from hotel that any mistake had been made, which left us feeling slightly uncomfortable, as if we had been reluctantly granted a concession.|Other than this we had a lovely time, enjoying the stunning location, good food and great pool. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and we appreciated the fridge, kettle and complimentary bottle of water.|There was entertainment 6 nights out of 7 on the terrace, but apart from the amazing acrobats it was all a bit repetitive, so most guests seemed to go over to town in the evening.

We have been to probably nearly 30 AI hotels across Europe and I couldn't agree with Chris H more, regarding the AI drinks package for AI TUI 4* Guests in the main building. We travelled early May aged mid 60s.|It has to be the most limited drinks package we have ever had. I too would have liked some mocktails included along with Tea at the bar and Breakfast tea and UHT milk in the room. The soft drinks allowed from the dispenser are not very good and ruined what should have been a nice vodka and orange. TUI asked for a review on our return and I put this to them in detail with examples from their other hotels including some in Croatia. I also included some other issues that follow.|But it's not all about the drinks. The food was in our top 5 or so, fresh, varied and tasty.|The snacks provided in the afternoon are not snacks but another full meal in themselves. OK all meals in any AI get a bit samey into the 2nd week, but if you are willing to try something different you wouldn't be disappointed and if you are you could always go back and try something different.|Food is never hot/hot in AI in our experience, but it just seems that us Brits are the only ones bothered about it. |Again we agree with Chris H as this being the only AI 4* hotel with restaurants on site that doesn't offer at least one visit to one of their restaurants for AI guests.|The spa didn't offer courtesy sauna or steam room for AI guests either, which normally happens with TUI 4*|The entertainment was poor, there was only 1 guy on a guitar that did a turn on a Saturday evening, and there was nothing going on during the day from TUI. |Having said all that we thought the location of this hotel was amazing, the rooms are good, the staff hardworking and helpful, the area clean and if you book through TUI note that their rooms are at the back of the hotel with evening sun and a decent view so no need to upgrade in our opinion, as the front and back rooms appear to be identical. |I would add that the shower is over the bath and I struggled as the hand rail in the bath is too low and I feel that for safety reasons for older guests who do not want to have a bath every evening that a higher hand rail should be fitted.|The issues I have brought up are not the hotels fault or the rep, who was lovely, but I think that TUI needs to go back to the drawing board with this hotel and negotiate a better deal with the hotel owners.|PS where was my bath robe and slippers? which I have come to expect from TUI 4*|All the above sounds negative but we really did have a lovely time. Just putting you in the picture.

We recently returned from a fantastic stay at Isabella Valamar in Poreč, travelling with family and friends, including children, and overall, it was a brilliant experience.||The positives far outweighed any negatives. The island itself is absolutely immaculate, with stunning views, hidden coves, and beaches to explore – a real slice of paradise. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful.||The buffet restaurant deserves a special mention – the food was excellent, with a wide range of fresh, high-quality options. From pizzas made in a traditional pizza oven to different roast meats daily, there was something for everyone. We also appreciated the adult-only section of the dining room for a quieter mealtime experience.||The all-inclusive package included a decent selection of drinks – Aperol Spritz, Hugo, Cuba Libre, wine, beer, and soft drinks – though we did feel the offering was a bit limited compared to other all-inclusive resorts. It would have been nice to have access to more bars around the resort rather than being restricted to the lobby bar, and ice cream throughout the day would’ve been a welcome addition, especially for the kids.||There’s a lot to keep both adults and children entertained. The kids’ pool was pleasantly warm, and the relax infinity pool offered incredible views and warmer water than the main pool. The games room, soft play, crazy golf, and the charming enchanted forest were huge hits with the children. We also made use of the watersports centre, where kayaks, paddle boards, and pedalos were available. The nearby spa offered great value treatments – a nice treat during our stay.||We never had an issue finding sunbeds, and the regular boat to Poreč made exploring the mainland super convenient.||A few downsides, mainly due to visiting in the early season: not all resort facilities were open yet (e.g., the poolside snack bar), and the daytime and evening entertainment was noticeably lacking. Also, the soft drinks from the fountain were often weak or watered down.||All in all, Isabella Valamar is a wonderful family-friendly resort in a beautiful location. If you’re travelling with kids and looking for a relaxing getaway with plenty to explore, this is a great choice – just be aware that early season may come with some limitations.

IMPORTANT for TUI customers||Firstly just to say we had an absolutely fantastic holiday, this place is amazing and you won’t regret it if you’ve already booked! I will get to the highlights and positives at the end to finish on a high..||However as the all inclusive here is a new ‘concept’ (as they keep referring to it) I will let you know exactly how it works and what is included so people can make an informed decision. I don’t feel TUI are clear on their site at all and it is slightly misleading to call it all inclusive. The actual hotels website does have all the details but we hadn’t checked that at the time of booking. ||I will start with the main issue - drinks. You can get a drink from the pool bar, the lobby bar and the buffet restaurant which includes beer, white wine and red wine , 3 different types of spritz cocktails (aperol, Hugo and rosata all very nice) , Smirnoff vodka , Gordon’s G&T , Jonny walker whiskey and some local spirits , none of their other cocktails which you would normally get as part of the AI are included , all around €10 extra. They have branded soft drinks behind the bar but they are expensive I.e 4-5€ so if you - like my wife- likes certain ones I.e Coke Zero, Pepsi you’ll be disappointed, included is a drinks station where you fill your own cup with their local ‘roller cola’ type stuff, not great. You also get water from these and there is no bottled water provided anywhere including in your room (nothing in fridge either like drinks etc) so you need to fill water bottles here like flasks, make sure you take your own. If you order say a vodka and you want coke you have to go and get the coke yourself from the machine, bit long winded, and even though the mentioned drinks are included you need to scan your wrist band and sign a receipt with €0 on every time, unnecessary. Also they have a nice barista coffee machine behind the lobby bar but those coffees aren’t included, only the coffee machine which is self service with disposable cups and obviously not as good quality so coffee snobs take note.. it just doesn’t feel very high end in that regard compared to other AI in turkey , Mexico etc. we complained to the TUI rep and she was quite unhelpful ‘well what drink did you want that you couldn’t get ?’ ‘Erm 90% of the menu!’ In the end they did a deal with them that my pregnant Mrs could have mocktails included as part of the deal ! (They aren’t included in the concept!) ||On to the food and restaurants/bars etc , AI only includes the buffet restaurant which is good quality and does vary quite a bit but you do get quite bored of it after a week, there is a place called Olivia grill and 2 other restaurants on the resort but you cannot eat at them as part of the concept! Usually you get a certain number of a la carte meals but not here, even the bar called Gigi’s bar you need to pay for drinks, same at the infinity pool. There is a bar down at the beach where you can’t even get a drink only cans of pop being sold for nearly €6. There is also an ice cream hut down there but again not included all chargeable (and pricey) , TUI state ice cream included but only the melted slop they had at the buffet.. ||Having said all that we have still had one of the best weeks ever and cannot fault the standard of everything else, from the hotel grounds which are stunning, the cleanliness of everything and the helpfulness of the staff when you need something. The old town of porec takes 5 mins on the little ferry which runs at least every half an hour and is stunning. There wasn’t any entertainment when we were there as that starts up next week so can’t comment. Kids disco was for really young kid under 5. Our kids didn’t do the kids club but looked fun. It is a really peaceful location with no cars etc so very relaxing and you can really switch off. The beach cove area for young families is great too. Most guests are German and all nice people there is a handful of English which we didn’t mind

We went on the first week of June and had an absolutely fantastic holiday. I cannot speak highly enough of this resort. The island itself is stunning with so many different coastal areas to find, each with their own views and charm. It is so well kept, from cleanliness to layout, and constantly surprised me how tidy it was all over. Also, I have to mention the gardeners. Being one myself, I have to commend how fabulously maintained the grounds are from that point of view. For my 3 year old, there was endless stuff to do to keep her occupied, especially the maro club where the soft play is and the evening disco. The staff working directly with the children were outstanding. The enchanted forest was a huge hit with her too. The food and drinks were great, the pool areas are brilliant and tidy and our room with sea view was spot on. Only downside of the room was an internal adjoining door to the next room which we could unfortunately hear the noisy neighbors through in the middle of the night, but that's just other people enjoying their stay. Also, the ferry service back to porec is great and constant throughout the day, where there is more lovely things to see and do. We had a truly brilliant holiday, and to anyone second guessing booking here, you won't be disappointed. Well done valamar!!

We stayed May 25 in on of the island villas which I would recommend over the hotel rooms. The island is a peaceful paradise where you can forget the rest of the world. There is some noise on an evening from the bars in Porec and the party boat but it did not disturb us. The main pool is comfortably busy ideal for children and for a quiet swim the infinity pool is heaven. |The buffet breakfast is lovely serving from 7 to 11 so no queuing and lunch is also quiet. The evening buffet is busier but there are plenty of tables and the buffet is always being replenished.|The friendly staff are to be congratulated as they made the place.

What can I say such a beautiful hotel and the island is very clean, safe and well maintained. There are lots of different coves on the island to swim in and the sea is so clear. The hotel itself is very clean throughout could not fault at all. If I had to critique in any way one of the pools was on the cold side but this is all I can say to fault this hotel. The boat ride over to porec is quick and the boat runs every 15mins, in the evening its every half hour. Porec is a lovely town to wander through with lots of historical sites.
