Lovely hotel, with great service and nice atmosphere. There are lots of colorful fish in the rocks nearby, bring a snorkel or goggles. Would have liked more variety in the food in the restaurants, more local produce. Special thanks to the reception for a pleasant welcome

We arrived yesterday for a 6-night stay. While the views are undeniably stunning, unfortunately the hotel itself has been quite a letdown so far. The rooms and bathrooms are on the small side and feel cramped and dated. The carpet looks worn, and the layout isn’t very practical. We got rooms with bathtubs, but getting in and out of them to take a shower is awkward and could even be unsafe — most 5-star hotels these days offer walk-in showers, which are far more convenient. A clothes iron would be appreciated. The reception staff is polite enough, but the welcome felt rushed and impersonal. Check-in consisted of a quick recitation of the general information with no warm greeting or “If you need anything, please don’t hesitate to ask” — the kind of basic hospitality you’d expect at any 5-star property. Asking for help feels uncomfortable after the curt responses we got the first time. Overall, while they charge 5-star rates, the experience so far doesn’t live up to that standard — apart from the beautiful views, which, honestly, seem to be what they’re banking on. I really hope there are no more disappointments during the rest of our stay.

Very nice place in the middle of Old Town, still, sound is not an issue. Super friendly staff, clean. Just a bit of symtairs to climb, but as it's not an issue for me, no problem.

We stayed at this hotel while doing a road trip across Europe. On first impression it is a nice hotel in an excellent location. However, looking closer you will find that the interior is dated and the staff a little less welcoming. The breakfast service is friendly and there is a plethora of items to choose from. But again it all feels dated and stuck in the past. This hotel might have been 5 * 20 years ago, but not anymore. Still great location and great sea view.

This is not a 5 star hotel at best it’s 3.5 maybe a 4 primarily for the views which are beautiful. We stayed as a family of 4 with 2 kids (10 & 14). ||Pros|- Breakfast was good with usual options |- My 10 year old and I used the sauna and steam room which was complimentary |- The town close by Lapad has some good food options so you don’t have to always go to the Old Town (make a reservation) |- Ina in concierge was helpful to book restaurants ||Cons|- Hotel in need of serious renovation - lobby has no warmth and not welcoming although it could be so much nicer given the views of the ocean |- Room was old, worn and small; furniture needs updating |- The service by the main pool bar was horrible - no one greeted us, no similes and at one point ice was rationed to a few cubes per drink (it was over 100 degrees)! |- Loungers were literally on top of each other and hard to find around the pool area |- Uber to Old Town was €20 each way at least

My wife and I stayed at the hotel Dubrovnik Palace for our anniversary — our third time visiting Croatia and our second time returning to this hotel, eight years after our first stay. From check-in to checkout, everything exceeded our expectations.||The entire team — from the front desk and housekeeping to the restaurant staff — were exceptional. We’ve stayed in many five-star hotels, but this one stands out. There’s a genuine warmth and down-to-earth humour here that you rarely find elsewhere, and it made all the difference.||A special thank you to the General Manager, Hrvoje, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Your kindness and attention to detail truly elevated our trip — we’re so grateful.||Croatia remains one of our favourite places to visit, and the Dubrovnik Palace Hotel has firmly become our place to stay. Thank you again for making our anniversary so special — we’ll be back.

Not as good as it was 20 years ago as let down by poor staff and the service is not what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Rooms are not maintained well with toiletries replenished including toilet rolls and the room didn't look like it was hoovered throughout our stay.|Drink and food prices excessive with a 3/4 pint of lager costing over 11 euros and an iced coffee over 9 euros.|Lifts do not seem to have a safety catch on them and we saw several people trapped by the closing doors and had to have assistance to be released by other people already in the lift.|Also staff never stopped children going in the jacuzzi with drinks or people going across the swimming pool carrying drinks despite staff being stood nearby.

We were not planning on staying here, but one week before our trip the hotel we were staying at said that we couldn’t stay there anymore because of a wedding. The other hotel was right in city center, so we were initially very bummed….||Then we arrived at Hotel Dubrovnik Palace and our mind completely changed. It is a resort feel that is private. It has many different shops and restaurants. We loved the pool and pool bar as well as the access to the beach. They have tons of chairs outside between the beach and pool! The service overall was wonderful. We ended up getting Ubers instead of using the buses, but it seemed like the buses were easy to get on. ||Room: our room was the largest we stayed at in Croatia and the biggest bed. It was a real king sized bed vs California king. The only thing we would have liked different with the room was better AC. ||The reason I’m giving it a 4 star is because some parts of the hotel could still be updated. ||We would 10000% stay here again

First time visiting Dubrovnik and was in town for a friends wedding. So lucky they chose the Palace for the reception and main lodging. Staff was incredibly attentive and helpful. Location also impossible to beat situated right on the water with a beach and pool set up. The Chefs Samira and Dorje blew me away and the bolognese especially was special! Will definitely be coming back.

Beautiful location and very nice pool and beach area. What’s best with the hotel. Rooms are fine with great sea view and balcony. The rest is not to the same standard though. The decor is very corporate and totally blend. Equipment in the room is dated. No coffee machine. Small TV. Breakfast is very average at best and below the standard of the hotel with focus on quantity rather than quality. Service is polite but not forthcoming and not many smiles. This is a hotel for tour or corporate groups. Overall, overpriced for what it is and not recommended if looking for something distinctive or with a personal touch.

I love this hotel so much! We were there last year also and all I could think about afterwards was going back! So we stayed 6 nights before taking a ferry to Bari, Italy.|It was just as great as I remembered. The view is amazing. I love sitting on the restaurant-balcony eating the delicious breakfast while looking at the view. |The pool and the swimming area in the sea is also great and beautiful. |We spent a day in the vip-area this year, I dont think you need to be vip to be there, just tell the staff to book a sunbed for you the day before. It was nice there, more calm, but I prefer the main pool and especially sea area since it had better stairs into the sea there.|We spent all daytime relaxing on the hotel and took the bus right outside after sunset into oldtown to have dinner there. We tried the hotel buffet twice last year. It had plenty of good food but a little dry and boring. Didn't find a gravy to add to the meat. But tons of nice vegetables and desserts.|Anyway its nice to get into oldtown after spending the entire day at the hotel. I adore the oldtown in the evening when most of the cruise tourists have gone back to the ship and the heat is not so intense.|All in all, I loved my stay at the Palace this year also and still want to come back next year! Best hotel I've stayed at!

We just had a spectacular trip in Dubrovnik for a friend’s wedding and this hotel was a highlight. Such a beautiful location and easy proximity to Old Town. Big shout out to the chefs, Samira and Dorje, as every meal we had was insanely delicious. Breakfast, lunch and dinner… everything was perfect. Will definitely be coming back.

Mi experiencia en el hotel ha sido muy positiva, tuvimos un problema y el responsable nos ayudo proporcionándonos una buena solución, que recogía nuestras necesidades. El hotel está un poco alejado del centro histórico, lo que aporta tranquilidad, para ir al centro un autobús en la misma puerta del hotel, te lleva y trae cada 15 min. Las instalaciones muy buenas y las vistas maravillosas. Muy recomendado, pero su joya es el personal. Cuando hay problemas es cuando se demuestra la calidad y este establecimiento cumple.
