I personally experienced pretty poor customer service. They care a lot more about money than catering to their customers' needs. Turning off air conditioning during the day sucks as well

Had such a great experience! The stuff was very kind and helpful even before arriving at the location! I felt safe at all time and you can tell that they are building a community. The position is perfect:the hostel is 5 minutes from shops, restaurants, bus stations and ATMs. I'll definitely come back❤️

Highly recommended, perfectly located so you can go see all the attractions by foot, or with the public transport. Hostel staff is very helpful, and will help you plan your stay. During the nights, it gets busy and groovy in the common room, so it will be easy to meet people and have fun.

Great hostel, location is amazing, close to the center and to the fortress. Good facilities, only downside is they have few bathrooms, but other than that it’s perfect! Also very good price and kind attendants! Super recommended for a stay in Belgrade!

I think this is called the Balkan Soul because it is healing for the soul. This was my favorite hostel I have stayed at in my life in the best location in the best city with the best staff. I can’t thank everyone enough for their hospitality and kindness. Upon arriving they helped me get my SIM card sorted out, gave restaurant recommendations, etc. Liyam in particular was amazing, helpful and interesting to chat with. It is clean, the WiFi works perfectly, the kitchen and common area is spotless, and there is the sweetest hostel cat that they take such good care of. Everyone I met there was lovely and well-traveled and educated about the world. I was in such a grumpy mood and this hostel cured me. I almost want to leave a bad review so it’s not fully booked when I come back. THANK YOU!!!!

This hostel is super friendly, the stuff is amazing and they have night activities which are great for meeting people and the night life. We fall asleep and didn't check out on time and they were super nice and didn't make a problem about it. Also you can use the common area after your check out. The rooms and spaces are not big and not the most modern but if you are not fancy it's enough, it's comfortable and there is actually a lot of space for your stuff and a lot of bathrooms. Also the location is the best.

I recently booked 20 beds as part of a lads sports tour group and they were very accommodating. They were very fair about how they handled some of the lads who were repeatedly noisy and I appreciate their patience. Also allowed them to use the common rooms after check out which was really kind of them. Had a good selection of 10 bed and 6 bed dorms and was in a very handy location. Would recommend and thank you to Balkan Soul for having us1

I saw someone commenting about a weird “bed bug” situation, and I have to say—the exact same thing happened to me. They’re not exactly bed bugs because the bites aren’t clustered or as numerous, and they look like mosquito bites, but they’re much itchier. By the second day, the bites had swollen up and looked infected. By the fifth day, they were much better. I also noticed a small dot of blood on the sheets, exactly like the photo I saw in another review from a few months ago, which makes me think they don’t replace dirty sheets. For context, I was staying with a group of friends, and this only happened to me. I’m honestly amazed at how similar my experience was to the review I read before visiting this hostel. Other than that, the hostel is nice and pretty clean. However, it is quite noisy since there’s no soundproofing between doors.

Das Hostel ist eine große Empfehlung! Die MitarbeiterInnen sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Das Hostel ist sehr sauber. Die Küche/Aufenthaltsraum ist sehr gut ausgestattet, Gewürze, Öl, Backofen, Sandwichmaker, TV, Sofa und eine Bücherecke. Der einzige kleine Minus Punkt ist die Toiletten/Duschsituation. Insgesamt gibt es für das komplette Hostel nur 4 Badezimmer, das ist definitiv zu wenig für das Hostel.
