Our stay was not good at all. The place felt abandoned (in early October). We never met the hosts. The apartment itself was poorly equipped: the sink leaked and basic bathroom amenities were missing; the tea kettle was dirty and heavily calcified; not even a bottle of water in the fridge or any supplies to cook - we even had to buy salt; dirty pillows and sheets with rusty stains (hopefully not blood), and appliances made ungodly noise in the middle of the night. It isn't obvious but the kitchenette area/fridge are right next to the bed. Breakfast was arranged but cancelled by the property at the last minute. I am not sure why it went so wrong, and in the end we got a discount by bringing these issues to the property's attention, but we never got an explanation of why reality was so far off from expectation/what's presented on the website.

The stay here was truly exceptional. Words cannot describe the hospitality we were treated with. Everything was perfect - the food, the views, rooms and facilities for kids. But that would be nothing without the people who have created this place. They were not only helpful and kind to all the guests, but also committed to make every single person feel well-cared for.

This property deserves 100 stars!! The setting is beautiful, the property is outstanding, but the best part of the Alpine Homstead if the staff. Jasmina made us feel like family, and Eddy made us the most delicious food. We arrived soaking wet on our motorbike and Jasmina took all our wet gear to her laundry room, washed it, dried it, and had it ready for us the next morning. She welcomed us with a selection of local liquers served out in the lovely garden area. Interior including rooms decorated in modern alpine style. No air conditioning but evenings are cool enough to leave the window open for fresh air. No TV in the room but excellent wifi, a kettle and selection of tea and coffee. Nice shower with plenty of hot water, we had 2 single beds which were very comfortable. I believe there is a wellness and spa area but we did not use it. There is a climbing wall room in the basement and outdoors there's a rustic children's playground area. Plenty of free parking at the homestead. Dinner was exceptional! Eddy uses as much local products as possible. Delicious mushroom soup, beef carpaccio, salad, grilled chicken breast, beef tenderloin, each dish was better than the last. The included breakfast was wonderful, fresh eggs to order any style, delicious caffe latte, homemade yogurt, local cheeses, fresh croissants, fruit salad. The Bled area is beautiful with some exceptional roads for the motorbike. Alpine Homestead is the perfect place to use as a base to explore this beautiful area of Slovenia. Safe travels 🇨🇦

A wonderful gem of coziness and traquility, close enough to both Bohinj (less touristic) and Bled (super touristic). Spent 3 days here and we're hoping to spend the new year here too! The place, the food, the host, everything is just wonderful! The road to the house takes you through a forest and one evening we saw a rabbit and a deer. The restaurant is what i call traditional gourmet. Simple dishes, wonderfully prepared! There's also a sauna and an outdoor whirlpool, but they were closed in summer. Will definitely be back!!

Such an amazing place for nature lovers and food enthusiasts. This is one of the special places where you get treated like a real guest, the host lady is unbelievably kind and helpful and genuinely good at welcoming guests. The food is also one of a kind, they make real local seasonal fresh food, I couldn’t believe how much tasty and nice was the food and desserts. Definitely a must visit place for everyone!

We had wonderful lunch at the Alpine Homestead partway through a hike on the Juliana Trail. The service was absolutely fantastic - the people are really lovely. The food all delicious! We called ahead, as suggested by someone who recommended we visit. The hotel looks really nice and well-presented. We would definitely come back again.
