An incredible experience and completely fulfilled expectations. Testing menu but also the overall performance of a very unusual Chef who combined art in all spheres with cuisine. His plates are a painter's canvas. A fine selection of Slovenian wines with an emphasis on local varieties and producers. Well done and please continue "Per aspera ad astra"

So before travelling to Slovenia we were told that visiting the mak was a must. And what should I say? Altogether it's something you won't happen to experience very often. Lovely food, a countless number of courses and an extraordinarily entertaining evening. They almost don't accept a "No" and don't ask you many questions. It's not like visiting a common restaurant, where everyone Triest to carry on the tradition of service-thinking. If you go there it's like a trip on mushrooms - put aside your foolish pride, give yourself into their hands and you will have an evening to remember!

ATTENTION: My first review ever just to warn others. Weird place feels like you entered someone’s home. Food also very special but tasty and something else. The service team was also paying a lot of attention. So far so extraordinary. However the boss takes prices as he pleases. Not at all what he wrote on the website and then he starts to negotiate. The unpleasant discussion at the cashier brought the so far good experience to the trashcan next door. Spend your money on one of these touristic places in the city center, you will get similar service and can eat 5 times for the same amount of money. You lost three stars with shady behavior my friend…

Kulinarischer Genuss im Herzen von Maribor. Super Service und ausgezeichnete Küche findet man hier vor. Sehr zu empfehlen ist die Weinbegleitung zusammengestellt von David selbst, entsprechend den persönlichen Vorlieben. 😀 Bei ausreichend Zeit auch unbedingt den Keller im Restaurant besuchen auf eine Spezialitäten Reise mit David selbst!!! Riesen Auswahl an LPs 😊

it definitely takes too long to serve all the dishes and can get very tiring. Quality is quite ok for this kind of restaurant but...seems that the cook has loosing his focus about the order of the dishes and there are plenty of them, maybe too much...just for reflection

Auf einer spielerisch-künstlerischen Art werden hochqualitative, köstliche Spezialitäten in ganz ungewöhnlichen Variationen auf den Tisch gebracht. Das Potpori der Sinne wird persönlich vom Meister erklärt. Tolle heimische Weine begleiten die vielen, geschmackhaften Gänge. Es war besonderer Abend für uns.

Es ist ein wahrhaft himmlischer Genuss hier zu speisen. Waren das zweite mal im Mak und es war wieder wunderbar. Feine Geschmackskomponenten Gang für Gang aufeinander abgestimmt.
