Our Story

The name "Hashira" (השירה) translates to "song" in Hebrew, and it encapsulates the spirit of our choir, based in Novi Sad. Established to revive the rich tradition of the Jewish choral society that existed between the two World Wars, Hashira has been a beacon of Jewish cultural expression through music.

Our Mission

Hashira passionately champions both Jewish spiritual and secular choral music. We embrace a wide range of musical styles without constraints on our repertoire.
