Top location. Haben als Vorspeise frittirten Fisch, Miesmuscheln und Tintenfischsalat bestellt. Danach Lamm mit Polenta,Ryb Ei Steak und Nudeln mit Meeresfrüchten bestellt. Alles war Top. Mein absoluter Favorit in Split

Gezellig restaurant met topservice en heerlijk eten Skalinada in Split is een supergezellig restaurant met heel vriendelijk en attent personeel. Ze komen regelmatig even checken of alles naar wens is, wat we erg konden appreciëren. De prijs-kwaliteitverhouding is uitstekend. Wij kozen als “bites” de Mornarski Pijat (een soort tapasbord met onder andere garnalen, gravlax, ansjovis, sardines en mosselen), ideaal om te delen met de kinderen. Met wat brood erbij was het echt een heerlijk begin van de avond. Wat ook heel handig is: het menu werkt met een QR-code die je met je gsm kunt scannen. Je ziet dan meteen foto’s van de gerechten — ideaal als je het Kroatisch niet goed kent of als niet alles in het Engels vermeld staat. Wat je op de foto ziet, is ook echt wat je op je bord krijgt, en het is overheerlijk. Mijn man nam de Rib Eye Steak met demi-glace saus, bloemkoolcrème met curry, geroosterde bloemkool in notenkorst en gegratineerde aardappelen — hij vond het fantastisch lekker. Kortom: een aanrader als je in Split bent

Amazing seafood and excellent service. I cant wait to go back and try more things from menu. I cant recomend enough this great first dish that you can see on the photo. Also you have nice terrace and lovely atmosphere inside.

Very nice restaurant with friendly staff. The food was delicious, and they served all 8 dishes at the same time, which can be challenging for the kitchen and servers. Tino served us well and was kind and patient. The atmosphere is a bit too dark for me, but I think it doesn't matter much for most people. Thank you, Skalinada!

I ordered a Tomahawk steak and they gave me a pork chop. And when I asked, they said it was just really light-colored Croatian steak. So I googled is Croatian steak lighter than american steak, where the cow is raised does not change the color of the meat.

Honest review from a Scandinavin foodie: we had the seafood platter as a starter. The marinated octopus, shrimps and fish tasted bad , the anchovies were from a can and everything was presented on a few leaves of rocket salad. We sent it back but still had to pay for it. My girlfriend had the mussels (she loves mussels and eats them often) but these she said were cooked in bad white wine mixed with a lot of water and vegetable oil. Literally no flavour which if you love mussels you know the sauce means a lot. Also some of them were bad, however being a mussel conosiuer she knew which to eat and not eat. (If you arent used to eating mussles you would have most likely gotten bad food poisoning!) My tuna steak was a bit dry and the vegetables were really bland. We also had to pay for bread we didnt even ask for. Do not trust the good reviews here if you really enjoy food. I’m not a snob, I just like food that tastes good and is well cooked.
