Metelkova autonomic cultural center exist almost 40 years. Is most famous squatter place around. Today is the place with concerts club, bar, gallery, artist studios, workshops and lots of other things. The place is very safe but rarely can be attacked by neonazis.

Maybe I did sth wrong. I came here by day and it was actually pretty boring then. Painted or sprayed walls and buildings. Not nothing but also not exactly overwhelming.

If you're REALLY into alternative/downscale hipster culture, then this might be a great place for you. It's composed of maybe 6 to 9 clubs, that were taken over by squatters long ago. Those squatters now act as "owners" - they put locks on the door that they have the only keys to, but also maintain the places. The Tragedy of the Commons prevents true community responsible ownership. If you show up after midnight, you might have some boring conversations with a drunk, or a very interesting ones with someone having a smoke and relaxing. Or just dance to your choice of music. The facilities here are very primitive, most guys just piss in one of the alleys or against the fence. Some of the clubs have bathrooms.
