The service (especially Dennis and the female manager/owner) was really good. They have a good sense of humor. The food is also beautiful although it's slightly too rich for me. Nevertheless it was a good place to go for dinner.

Absolutely delicious steak and great sides. Our server also directed us - we got the ribeye and the spider steaks, and considered getting the baked potatoes but he recommended steering away from them so we didn't mix the bacon topping on the potatoes with the great flavor of the steaks. There are options for sauces for the steaks as well that we were interested in, but he recommended we taste the steak first and decide after that - and he was right! The steaks were so flavorful, sauce would have taken away from that. We were very appreciative of his guidance, especially since the sauces are an upcharge - so he was clearly giving honest recommendations. We both usually get our steaks medium rare, but he recommended the Spider steak not be rarer than medium. I followed his recommendation and was not disappointed! TRUST YOUR SERVER! Note prices on the menu for the steaks is per 100g (~3.5oz), and the server will tell you what size steaks they have available for purchase. Some dishes have sides included; the nicer steaks are solo and sides can be ordered a la cart. The restaurant has good ambience. Our one and only "complaint", if you can even call it that, is that the music playing while you eat is all pop remixes, so this detracted very slightly from what was otherwise a wonderful experience. It sounded like we should have been dancing rather than eating a fancy meal. May we suggest something with a slower tempo?

We had a superb meal at this small steakhouse nestled in a neighborhood of elegant villas on the hills on the western edge of the lake. We both ordered ribeyes (sold on the € per 100g basis) that were flavorful and juicy. Now nowhere in Europe does steaks like the US but the preparation here was exactly to temperature and not severely under done (no need to order medium well if you usually get medium in the states!) Steaks are ala carte for the most part so you’ll need to order sides-truffle mashed potatoes were delicious but the mixed honeyed vegetables nothing special. The wine list was pretty small and despite what was printed only had a few options, all from Slovenia and at higher prices than we’ve seen elsewhere during our two weeks in the country. When we arrived at 7 for our reservation we were only one of a couple tables in use, but by 8 the place was completely full so plan accordingly. We walked but we’re glad we had charged phones so to use the flashlight function for the walk back via dimly lit (but 100% safe), quite lanes. More expensive than our other meals but a nice change of pace. Recommended

Price is probably the only thing this place really has of a high-end restaurant, the food was also rather good... But there is a clear lack of service quality: First we weren't asked what type of cooking we wanted for our steaks. Then as we planned to have a starter, a main and a dessert, we ordered a smaller piece of meat to not over-eat ; apparently the staff has a clear idea of what the quantity should be (and mostly how much money they should vacuum out of your wallet) because they mocked our order not so subtly several times. Then towards the end of our main the waiter tried to pick up our plate without asking if we were done, and we were not. Finally as we asked to pay the bill the staff preferred chit-chatting with other people (not even customers of the restaurant) with the credit card machine in hand 4 steps from us while we were waiting. At the end they seemed surprised we didn't get a dessert, as if I wanted to spend more money in this wanna-be fancy place.

On our last night in Slovenia we decided to book a table at Steakhouse Berc. Although praised in tourist guides and online reviews, unfortunately the real experience we had was quite different as only certain customers seem to be given a nice treatment (strange since their restaurant was almost empty with just a handful of tables occupied for the night). We ordered the rib eye steak but were not asked of the level of cooking we wanted. Anyway, the food itself was good but the same cannot be said about the staff which was commenting the customers. Perhaps they are not aware of the fact that Slovenian is a language understood by other nations in Europe.. Overall, there are certainly better places in Bled and around deserving your money.

We had dinner at this place twice in a row (four kids and us) and it was fantastic each time! Super friendly staff, they seem to be passionate about what they do, they couldn't work in such a lovely manner otherwise. The place is beautyful, the plates were masterpieces. We'll certeanly return the next time, when we come back to Bled.

Too expensive while the dishes are not at the level expected. The Chateaubriand was too cooked and the potatoes were cooked many hours before. The mashed potato was cold in a chicken fillet plate that costs €36. Honestly it is NOT worthy.

Het eten is uitstekend maar de prijs/kwaliteit verhouding is niet goed. De prijs van de vleesgerechten is al fors en deze zijn dan zonder garnituur. Wij (2 personen) hadden geen voorgerecht maar wel beide een nagerecht, 1 glas wijn en water en we hadden € 130,- besteed.

Eh beh.. che dire, costa e tanto ma vale ogni singolo centesimo. Locale decisamente costoso, ma la qualità della carne è decisamente ottima, la miglior cena del soggiorno a Bled. Super consigliato in modo assoluto !!!

Ausserordentlich feines restaurant für Familie aber auch für das romantische Dinner zu zweit. Wir waren mit unserem Sohn dort und wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Alle Empfehlungen sind ehrlich und das Personal ist Spitze. Wir haben im Garten gegessen und hatten wirklich Spaß dort. Die Gerichte waren ausserordentlich delikat und besonders zu empfehlen ist das Risotto für den großen Hunger.

Wonderful quiet garden seating area with beautiful flowers and shrubbery surrounding. Sadly, that was the highlight of the dinner. We had reservations here for both nights next door at Penzion Berc and cancelled the second night for the following reasons; showed up 5 minutes late for a 7 pm reservation and our table was not ready. Not a huge deal as we had travelled all day and were really excited for a good steak dinner. The Caesar salad was absolutely drenched in dressed it was practically a soup. The beef soup (which had been forgotten) seemed to have been hurriedly prepared as the carrots and parsnip were still crunchy. Then the real sadness occurred as both of our steaks, requested medium-rare, were full on medium and well done (and over salted). The wine was very good and we did want to come back the next night for the chateaubriand, but simply couldn’t trust the chef to properly cook a €100 steak. It could have been an off night as the chef was working alone from what we could see, trying to prepare meals for about 15 tables.

Beautiful place. I came with a group and the staff was very accommodating, they even created shared platters for us to try a little bit of everything. The steaks were perfectly cooked and the sides were delicious. Would definitely recommend!

We had a lovely dinner for two at Steakhouse Berc. This is a true steakhouse offering diferent cuts of steak and high end steak including Kobe. Depending on the cut of beef, you can choose the size you would like to order. We got the Cheateubrand steak dinner for two and it did not disappoint. The steak was cooked perfectly and there was a wonderful array of accompliments. Reservations recommended, or come early.

Recomendo muito! Excelente atendimento, uma area externa extremamente agradavel e bonita, otima selecao de vinhos e carnes deliciosas. Não é barato, mas definitivamente vale o que cobra. Comi bem da entrada à sobremesa, fui muito bem atendido (aliás como em todos os lugares da Eslovenia) e saí muito satisfeito. Se voltar em Bled, voltarei no Berc com certeza.

Отличное место, отличное мясо, особенно отметить хочется макароны с трюфелем. Официант очень милый и любящий свою работу. А это один из главных показателей хорошего ресторана. К сожалению не было при себе наличных денег для чаевых, придётся вернуться 😉

I’m traveling solo for my birthday month, and I can say I am so happy that I ended up in Lake Bled at Steakhouse Berc on my actual birthday. They went above and beyond for me to feel special, and I could have floated out there on a cloud. The steak was prepared immaculately, and shout out to Dennis and the team for such a thoughtful and amazing service on my birthday. 🥳❤️
