Buiten het mooie uitzicht en de vriendelijke ober helaas niet wat wij er van verwachte. De prijs kwaliteit was hier niet goed. De biefstuk was niet goed gebakken en van mindere kwaliteit. Toen wij net het voorgerecht hadden werd het hoofdgerecht ook al geserveerd. De opmaak van gerechten kan veel meer aandacht aan worden besteed.

With a fine ambiance, cozy location, and a setting slightly removed from the main routes, expectations are raised high - but so is the impact when disappointment comes. Slightly more expensive than average, it certainly makes you think the service and food are expected to maintain top quality. I'll give the service credit, but the food... oh, not so much. We ordered two portions of fried calamari, one portion of grilled calamari, and a grilled sea bream. The grilled calamari were ruined by burnt residue and charred bits leftover from previous dishes. The dominant flavor? Charcoal. One calamari wasn't even properly cleaned. The side - Swiss chard with potatoes - was clearly pre-prepared and arrived lukewarm. The fried calamari were well-cooked but excessively salty, while the fries were decent. The sea bream was probably the best of the dishes: average in size (about 400g), but again, way too salty. Whatever happened to olive oil and Mediterranean herbs? This isn't supposed to taste like fried smelt. The side of Swiss chard and potatoes was the same as with the calamari - by the time I cleaned the fish (which I did quickly), the side was more cold than warm. The price for all of the above - around €130 with 1 drink per person (Cola, 2xIce tea, Bottled beer)- felt excessive, and the overall impression: disappointment.

Über unseren Urlaub waren wir zwei mal dort essen. Beide male waren überragend. Von der Karte kann man bestellen was man möchte, das schmeckt. Super netter und hochgradig kinderfreundlich Service. Wir haben uns dort rundum wohl gefühlt und würden beim nächsten Besuch in Zadar auf jeden Fall wieder einen Zwischenstopp einlegen.

We had a fantastic experience at Restaurant Punta in Zadar! The ambiance is peaceful and welcoming, perfect for a relaxing dinner. We dined here two nights and everything we tried was absolutely delicious. The grilled calamari was hands down the best I’ve ever had. We also enjoyed the seafood appetiser plate, Greek salad, grilled sea bass, and grilled chicken and all cooked to perfection. The house wine, Pošip wine, and espresso were also excellent. Special thanks to our waitress Martina, who was incredibly kind and helped us choose the perfect wine and dishes. The entire staff was friendly and attentive, and the grill master is truly a king! Great food, amazing service, and excellent price-performance. I’ll never forget the taste, this will always be my go-to spot whenever I’m in Zadar. Highly recommended!
