Während unseres Urlaubs zwischen Makarska und Tučepi haben wir zahlreiche Restaurants vor allem an der Strandpromenade besucht. Leider war das Kula das mit Abstand enttäuschendste Erlebnis. Da wir üblicherweise am Meer essen, wollten wir dieses Mal bewusst ins Inland fahren, um regionale Spezialitäten zu probieren. Bereits der Einstieg war ernüchternd: Das vorab servierte Brot war extrem hart, und wir hatten den Eindruck, dass es bereits mehrere Tage alt war. Auch der bestellte Grillteller konnte nicht überzeugen: Das Fleisch war stark übergart und trocken, die Pommes waren labbrig in einer Heißluftfritteuse hätte man sie deutlich besser zubereiten können. Positiv hervorzuheben ist lediglich, dass das Hähnchenschnitzel für die Kinder offenbar Tiefkühlware war hier kann man geschmacklich kaum etwas falsch machen. Das Ambiente, insbesondere im Innenbereich, ist grundsätzlich ansprechend gestaltet. Allerdings fiel uns auf, dass sowohl die Toiletten als auch die Böden insgesamt ungepflegt wirkten. Die Servicekraft war freundlich, professionell und bemühte sich sehr, auch wenn sie – wie bei anderen Gästen – Teller abräumen musste, obwohl noch deutlich Speisen darauf lagen. Für diesen Umstand kann sie jedoch nichts. Insgesamt entspricht das Kula weder in Qualität noch im Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis den Erwartungen, die wir an ein Restaurant in dieser Region haben. Wer Wert auf gutes Essen und gepflegte Räumlichkeiten legt, wird hier vermutlich enttäuscht.

It is worth detour if you’re passing by. The food and the service is excellent. Also the place and atmosphere and view is wonderful.

We stopped for lunch on our way to Split. I got the pork medallions which were very good as were the grilled vegetables and fries. The red sauce was fantastic and provided a spicy affect to the meal. My partner got the black risotto which she said was good, but nothing special.

Risotto with shrimps, grilled tuna, cordonbleu with chicken, octopusy salat, coffee was amazing. Highly recommeded. Service was also very good, nice and friendly team. Ambiant was also amazing. (Sorry, no pictures this time)

Delicious, top quality food & attentive service. Our family dinner in Vgorac was exceptional. We enjoyed meat platters, steak, chicken, vegetables & anchovy salad. Everything was exceptionally presented and very tasty.

Fantastisk vakkert utelokale, fin stemning, luftig og god plass mellom bordene. Servitørene var svært dyktige. Maten var fantastisk god, til en relativt rimelig pris. Den lokale vinen var utmerket, og et stort utvalg av både mat og drikke

Die Stadt ist recht klein, daher ist man auf Touristen nicht so richtig eingestellt. Immerhin gab es Speisekarten auch in Englisch und Deutsch. Die freundliche Bedienung konnte diese Sprachen aber nicht, es hat trotzdem gut funktioniert. Es gibt auch ein paar Parkplätze vor der Tür. Die Grillplatte für Zwei war sehr reichhaltig und geschmacklich gut. Die Getränke sind recht klein, dafür aber teuer. Wir hatten Sitzplätze im Freien unter großen Schirmen, das war angenehm.

Cute stop with delicious food, generous portions - we shared a mix grill and Greek salad and it was enough. Not far from the "beaten path" of tourism. Prices very acceptable. Service a bit slow, but only on the waiter side - food came very fast.
