I had a great meal in second violin. It was a rainy evening so there were a few tables available outside. The staff was very friendly and helped me chose my meal and wine. Everything I tried was delicious, especially the potatoes with the sausage which is a local speciality. Very good value for money too! Highly recommended.

Sehr nettes Restaurant mit freundlichem Service. Selbst am späten Abend haben wir noch eine tolle vegetarische Auswahl bekommen können und echt slowenische Spezialitäten genossen. Sehr zu empfehlen!

We went to Second Violin about 4 times during our 2 weeks in Slovenia, and it was consistently great every time. It's quite busy, but worth the wait if you find yourself in a line. The menu changes often and is focused around many local ingredients, and pays homage to traditional Slovene cooking which I totally fell in love with. Great service, very friendly staff and great prices. Also, props to them for employing people with special needs and giving them a go.

The Ljubljana platter was not as good as expected, the breaded schicken tasted like convinient food and was cold. The dumpling was not cooked enough and the steak was to well-done. I can not understand this high ratings it seemed to be normal food nothing special, would not recommend it.
