Ask for Rok! 5 of us did a private Food and Wine tour in Ljubljana, and had an amazing time! First, Rok is an amazing guide and SUPER knowledgeable about the history of Slovenia, the City and he easily wove the history into the food and wine.. The food and wine were amazing as well! Rok answered all of our questions (which were numerous), and didn't hesitate to give specific's as to regional dialects, foods, and historical points of interest. Bottom line, ASK FOR ROK!

Tina is awesome! Not only is she extremely knowledgeable about the history of the city and the evolution of the culture and architecture in Ljubljana, she took care of our every need and answered our many questions. She made recommendations and even led us to really nice specialty, gelato, and porcelain shops, and restaurants. Tina is without a doubt our favorite guide ever.

We did the Food and Wine Tour of Ljubljana. Tina was such a great guide! She tied each of the stops on the tour to a particular aspect of Slovenian history and culture, and was very patient in answering all our questions. This made for a much richer experience, going beyond just walking around and eating/drinking. Everything we had at every stop was excellent (well, my wife wasn't too keen on the turnip soup, but I loved it!) I can't recommend this tour enough for anyone who loves good food, good wine and great conversation.

A Masterful Tour Director! We recently returned from a fantastic tour in a Croatia . Our Tour director was Tina Hrast! We have taken other tours with other Tour directors, most recently last year in Israel. I must say that Tina by far is the Master! Tina and her husband opened this travel agency in 2018. Together they have 30 years of experience in tourism. All the programs are their own. They don’t sell other’s package tours. They are focused on private tours, with tailor made adjustments.They always exchange several emails to get to know the guest and afterward create a package for them as they did for us! Tina provided us with a memorable experience while in Croatia. She has strong communication skills and the entire logistics of going from one city to the other was seamless from start to finish! Next time you are thinking of traveling to Europe or Tina’s beloved Slovenia” just remember the word love is written and pronounced into her country name!! Étant moi-même Slovène de ma langue natale et guide pour les groupes slovènes à Paris, j’étais embellie par la riche approche culturelle de la charmante guide Tina qui nous a guidés à Ljubljana lors de notre visite guidée. Notre groupe français a tellement apprécié la qualité de la prestation, des restaurants du grand luxe, des plats très savoureux et la diversité de vins de différentes régions slovènes, ainsi que les fromages (que les Français adorent). Le grand PLUS : le groupe a aimé le concept de Walking food tour, littéralement « de se déplacer pour manger », afin d’éviter d’être trop saturé d’un coup et de découvrir l’histoire de la ville en marchant. Nous avons pris l’entrée dans le restaurant de l’hôtel Union dans un cadre lumineux dans le style de la Sécession viennoise. Cet hôtel est un véritable bijou d’architecture de début du 20ème siècle qui est éblouissant. Nous avons continué dans le vieux centre de Ljubljana tout en découvrant l’histoire de cette belle capitale qui réserve des surprises à chaque pas. Nous avons pris le plat principal dans le restaurant Druga Violina (Deuxième violon) que j’ai aussi découvert à ce moment. Le cadre très sympathique et le service au TOP. A la fin, nous avons dégusté différents fromages slovènes sous les arcades dans le vieux centre-ville devant une épicerie fine où on pouvait aussi choisir pleins de souvenirs et cadeaux gastronomiques à rapporter en France. Je ne peux pas dire autre chose que « à refaire bientôt » et un grand MERCI aux fondateurs de GO TO SLOVENIA TRAVEL (Tina et Primož Tovornik).
