Unforgettable Day Trip to Plitvice from Split – 5 Stars! We had an absolutely amazing day trip to Plitvice Lakes from Split, and it was all thanks to our fantastic guide Barisa and driver Stipe! Barisa was incredibly kind and knowledgeable, sharing fascinating facts and stories about Split, Omiš, Plitvice, and Croatian history throughout the journey. He made the entire experience educational and engaging. One of the things we appreciated most was how well Barisa balanced guiding with giving us space. He didn’t overwhelm us with constant commentary—instead, he shared information thoughtfully and then let us enjoy the park at our own pace. Sometimes he’d walk ahead with the faster walkers, other times he’d stay back to make sure the slower hikers didn’t get lost. It was the perfect mix of attentive guiding and respectful independence. Once in the park, we hiked all the way to the top and were treated to breathtaking views of the lakes and waterfalls—truly one of the most beautiful natural sights we’ve ever seen! After the park, we enjoyed a delicious meal at Bistro La Ursula. Our group of nine had a mix of dietary preferences—meat eaters, pescatarians, and vegans—and everyone found something they loved. The food was fresh, flavorful, and plentiful. Don’t miss the incredible wood art crafted by the owners—we wish we had taken a photo! A special shoutout to Stipe, who went above and beyond. While walking in the park, I mentioned to Barisa that it was my son’s birthday next week. Not long after, Stipe surprised us with a thoughtful birthday gift for him. Such a kind and generous gesture that made our trip even more special! Highly recommend this tour—Plitvice is stunning, and with guides like Barisa and Stipe, the experience is truly top-notch. Cheers to an unforgettable day!
