I participated in a Discover Scuba Diving session with this dive center about three years ago. The instructor and also an owner, was in charge of our group. While I was uncertified at the time, I had completed multiple DSD dives previously and had a clear benchmark for comparison. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet industry norms. Our group included seven divers with only one instructor — a serious safety concern, particularly for beginners. The dive began with a disorganized entry into shallow waters, creating confusion and discomfort. However, the second half of the dive near the beach offered a more relaxed and enjoyable setting. Video recording was conducted during the dive, and we were later offered the footage for a fee. This practice, while not uncommon, added a commercial undertone to the activity. A particularly unprofessional aspect was the post-dive delay. The instructor made a personal stop at a gas station, leaving customers waiting in direct sun for an extended period. Such actions detract from the overall experience. In summary, while the dive location and marine life were pleasant, the organizational and safety aspects fell short of expectations. Improvements in diver-to-instructor ratios and logistical planning are highly recommended.
