Perfect stay above Babine Kuće – peaceful, spacious, with stunning views and great hosts We (my wife, our daughter, and our dog – a large schnauzer) spent 10 wonderful days in Babine Kuće during the Pentecost holidays, staying at the Lazo family’s apartment located at the very top of the village. This was our fifth stay in Babine Kuće, and the third location we've tried – and honestly, our favourite by far. The apartment is modern, spacious, and tastefully furnished. It was spotlessly clean and very well prepared for our arrival. Although Mr. Andrija couldn’t greet us in person this time, his grandparents welcomed us with genuine warmth and kindness. We’ve known Mr. Andrija for several years now. He’s always been a reliable and communicative host, easy to talk to and always reachable when needed. His professionalism and friendliness make every stay easy and enjoyable. The apartment comes with a private parking spot nearby, a fully equipped kitchen, excellent Wi-Fi (I had no issues handling some remote work), and even a washing machine. There is also air conditioning, but we never needed it – the apartment is airy and cool even on hot days. The large terrace, overlooking the lake, is shaded and absolutely beautiful – a perfect place to relax, read, or enjoy breakfast. Our dog also had a great time – the many shaded walking paths around the lake are ideal for daily walks, and the peaceful surroundings make it a great place for pets. As for the location – Babine Kuće is a lovely, quiet village right next to the Great Lake, in the heart of Mljet National Park. The park itself is a gem: well-maintained, car-free, and perfect for cycling, hiking, or just unwinding in nature. We couldn’t have asked for more. Another perfect holiday with the Lazo family – and we’re already counting the days until we’re back.
