At Kajtimar Brewery, we believe that every sip of our beer carries a story. Our creations pay homage to the historical heroes of the medieval Carantanian region in Slovenia. The narrative of our beers is steeped in the rich history of conversion and conflict during the time of Kajtimar, a notable figure who played a pivotal role in introducing Christianity to the Carantanians.

Light and Dark Lagers

The dark lagers, made with roasted malt, offer richer flavors and complement hearty foods like grilled meats and sausages.

Ales

For those who seek more complex flavors, our ales provide a robust profile, ranging from fruity and floral to spicy and caramel notes. The higher fermentation temperatures contribute to distinct esters and a medium to full-bodied beverage. Dark porters contain hints of coffee and chocolate, making them an ideal companion for robust meals such as meat pies, strong cheeses, burgers, and spicy dishes. Dark ales particularly shine alongside roasted or smoked foods.

Our Brewing Philosophy

At Kajtimar Brewery, we blend tradition with modern brewing techniques. Our approach is guided by the German Beer Purity Law ("Reinheitsgebot") from 1516, which stipulates that beer can only contain water, barley, and hops. This commitment ensures our beers are free from stabilizers, colorants, preservatives, and clarifying agents.
