As it was the last day, my visit was very short - though it would have been nice to spend more time at the visitor centre. This is housed in the building of the National Bank od Serbia, and consists of one beautiful maintained hall - which seems to have served clients in the past. The main focus is on presenting past and current bank notes (some really beautiful designs) and coins of Serbia as well as the Euro-Zone as well as a few banking artefacts. For those interested in the physical manifestation of money or just some beautiful old architecture, a visit is highly recommended.

This "Visitor Center" wouldn't let us in, not even to the gift shop, because one of the gentlemen in our group was wearing shorts (rather nice, expensive ones, nothing torn!) The woman who said we had to leave had on a skirt that was shorter than the offending shorts. It was 37 degrees (99 Fahrenheit) outside, and literally no one else in the city was wearing long pants either... ridiculous!

I give this a zero rating. We were refused entry two days in a row. While we were outside planning our next itinerary, we saw a group of tourists allowed to enter. Horrible horrible experience and horrible staff!!!.
