Beekeeping Heritage
One of the unique aspects of Domačija Zatrnik is our passion for beekeeping. We cultivate bees using traditional AŽ hives and maintain the native Slovenian honeybee species, the Carnica. Guests have the opportunity to purchase our delicious honey and experience the benefits of this age-old craft.

We spent 5 nights in this marvellous bed and breakfast. The Gregorc-family received us very well in a nice, very clean room with solid beds. We plan to return upon a future trip to the Bled region. The B&B is located close to hiking routes and was also a perfect starting point for a long biking tour. For meals we alternated between out in the restaurant next door and cooking ourselves in the kitchen of the B&B.

Nuestra habitación tenía una pequeña cocina con puerta como si fuera un armario. Pequeña pero realmente suficiente. Las camas con colchón cómodo. Una terraza de madera sólo para nuestra habitación nos proporcionaba unas vistas preciosas. Una pena que llovió mucho y no pudimos aprovecharla. Las ventanas con mosquitera, pero poco mosquito hubo ya que incluso hacía algo de fresco aún siendo agosto. Sonja es absolutamente encantadora y nos explicó sitios que visitar y nos proporcionó mapas y rutas. Tiene un espacio común para los huéspedes donde hay otra cocina con nevera y espacio para sentarse. Y tiene baños al lado para no subir a la habitación si necesitas usarlo. El aparcamiento está dentro del recinto. Justo al lado hay un restaurante que nos permitió tomar algo sin coger el coche hasta el centro de Bled. Las almohadas son unos sacos muy pesados que no fueron muy cómodos :( El baño demasiado estrecho. Fue un poco incómodo usarlo. Si hubiésemos sido personas de estatura grande habría sido complicado. En general muy agradable nuestra estancia.

I have stayed in the "Domačija Zatrnik-Homestead Zatrnik" more than ten times, and I am self-confident in recommending this cozy and friendly place. Everything is pleasant there, mainly because the hosts are excellent and the house is well located for a person who appreciates nature, like me. So, you should not miss this opportunity if you want to enjoy a traditional Slovenian house surrounded by real nature, paying affordable prices.

I strongly recommend the "Domačija Zatrnik-Homestead Zatrnik" if you want to visit one of the most beautiful places in Slovenia (Gorenjska region). The hosts are friendly, kind, attentive, and polite. The rooms are cozy, clean, and surrounded by nature, and it is perfect for enjoying hiking and outdoor activities during the spring and summer seasons. Additionally, you can try natural (high-quality) bee products such as honey and liquor.

Very nice family pension. Sonja and her family are very welcoming. The breakfasts are generous. The place is located in the quiet mountain, with an excellent restaurant right next to the house. Do not miss to taste the honey produced by the House master. Très belle pension de famille. Sonja et sa famille sont très accueillants. Les petits-déjeuners sont copieux. L'endroit est situé dans la montagne au calme, avec un excellent restaurant juste à coté de la maison. Ne manquez pas de gouter le miel produit par le maitre de maison.

Wir sind im Motorradurlaub hier gelandet und wurden wie Freunde von Familie Gregorc aufgenommen. Schönes sauberes Zimmer, gutes Frühstück zum guten Preis. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!
