definitely overpriced and clearly a tourist trap, but we were hungry. the chicken appetizer was just okay, I was expecting worse to be honest. this is a nice place to sit though, with a nice view of the street and river. there are definitely better places to go.

We ordered sushi taco, rice bowl and ramen. All were delicious except for bit hard of the taco skin. The restaurant is by the lake, seating outside is quite hot in summer time and lot of flies around the table, which is common in all surrounding restaurants. But other that this detail all was amazing, highly recommended!

Well this is by all means a tourist trap. The food looks ok but tastes mediocre if I put it politely. Service is a genuine disaster. Imagine heaving to negotiate for a glass of water.... The place is pricey for what they offer. A modest diner for four summed to 133 EUR. So it is up to you. I will personaly avoid this place in the future.

Un completo desastre. Hemos esperado 75 minutos desde que hemos pedido hasta que han salido nuestros platos. La justificación de los camareros era "estamos llenos, sorry", hasta que a los 60 minutos nos ha preguntado a ver que habíamos pedido porque no encontraba nuestra comanda. Otras mesas estaban igual que nosotros, mientras que sacaban comida a otros recien llegados. Una completa decepcion.

DISASTER dinner & service: We had a dinner on August 3rd 2024 and all I can say is that I will NEVER COME BACK! First we've got drinks without an ice and once I have asked the waiter why we have got a warm cocktail with no ice there she said the ran out of it. Later we figured out that the waiter got us wrong cocktail and after we've told her she did not gave as a new one and we've paid full amount for it. We ordered tempura veggies which were 9,90EUR and all we've got is small bits of leaks & bits of little slicer carrots. That was an absolute disaster! We had also tuna bowl which was ok-eish but had one much better elsewhere. To say that we were super disappointed is an understatement. We are locals form Ljubljana in will never eat at this place again. For all the tourists - I suggest you go to a nearby Restaurant Barra - a much much better place for a dine-out (similar menu but muuuuuch better food & service, etc.).

The location is amazing. The menu is great with good options, sadly the dishes itself aren’t made that well. The noodles of the ramen were sticking together, which indicates the noodles went to late in the broth. That could also explain why it to long to get the food.

The food was delicious. Poke and Ramen were really great. The restaurant is in a great location, but the best thing is the staff. Our waitress was absolutely lovely.

Absolutely wonderful. Such a good Ramen, that I didn't not expect to just randomly find on vacation. Very flavourful, but not overpowering or heavy. Just smooth, good flavor, with just the right texture of every ingredient. Also the lady taking our order was so nice and friendly.

Das Feine Japan Restaurant ist ein wahres Juwel direkt am Fluss. Schon beim Betreten des Lokals wird man von einer warmen und einladenden Atmosphäre. Die Ramen sind hier absolut hervorragend. Die Brühe ist reichhaltig und aromatisch, die Nudeln perfekt al dente und die Zutaten frisch und qualitativ hochwertig. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die liebevolle Präsentation der Gerichte, die das kulinarische Erlebnis perfekt abrundet. Der Service ist ebenso erstklassig. Das Personal ist aufmerksam, freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend, was den Aufenthalt im Feine Japan Restaurant zu einem rundum gelungenen Erlebnis macht. Ein weiterer Pluspunkt ist die Lage direkt am Fluss. Dies bietet nicht nur eine wunderschöne Aussicht, sondern sorgt auch für eine entspannte und angenehme Atmosphäre, die das Essen noch genussvoller macht. Für Liebhaber der japanischen Küche und besonders für Ramen-Enthusiasten ist das Feine Japan Restaurant ein absolutes Muss. Hier wird Qualität und Geschmack auf höchstem Niveau geboten. Ein Besuch lohnt sich auf jeden Fall!

Wir haben hier einen heillos überforderten, hektischen Service, ohne Plan mitbekommen. Bestellungen wurden vertauscht, Getränke vergessen, Servicekräfte liefen mit leeren Händen wieder zurück. Das Essen war okay - an den Fischtoppings wurde bei den ramen gespart, geschmacklich aber sonst gut. Statt die Rechnung am Ende anzupassen, weil eine Flasche großes Wasser gefehlt hatte, würden uns beim gehen zwei Flaschen kleines Wasser in die Hand gedrückt.

Ulala, what an nice place to sit down, relax and have your dishes served, few #3 vegan optios are totaly completing the menue and feeding street for real! The taste is strong and ingredients of High Quality, price moderate for city centre, service really kind, nice as helping and vibe as good as you can handle! I could not recomend more a good ramen or fresh poke bowl if something asian is on your mind!

Ramen is really good here, very flavourful broth and a lot of toppings. We ordered the miso and shoyu meat ramen. Tuna taco was good, but the shell was quite hard and the flavour did not wow me. Would probably not order again. Service is alright, the food is quickly served, but the waiters seem disinterested and annoyed when asked for anything (even when paying!). Only the food saved this dinner, so if you prefer service with a smile (or any other form of interest in another human), I'd probably go somewhere else.

Ramen ni to kar je v tujini, noben v ljubljani ni dober (vsi so kot goveja juha ali slabse), London, Zagreb za bolj avtenticno japonsko hrano. Ramen is bad here and everywhere in Slovenia, dont even try.
