Che delusione! La location intendiamoci è meravigliosa e ben curata direi anche con gusto ma non siamo proprio riusciti a godercela. Ci hanno impedito di sederci ad uno di quei bei tavolini panoramici nonostante il locale fosse praticamente vuoto mettendoci sugli sgabelli al ingresso solo perché non volevamo prendere il menù fisso da 50 euro che tra l altro era poco invitante. Alla fine abbiamo mangiato nel posto riservato agli sfigati disturbati da tutti e con un servizio decisamente scadente per un posto che si propone come un osteria di alto livello. Ad esempio ti servono da bere nel calice come quelli fighi tuttavia si dimenticano di portare via i piatti e i vuoti. L unica cosa di alto livello oltre alla location è il prezzo. Con un po più di attenzione ed umiltà le cose potrebbero migliorare molto. In questo posto fermatevi solo se volete spendere un minimo di 50 euro a persona più il bere per mangiare mediocre e mal serviti ma con un bel panorama, sempre se non siete sfortunati come noi che ci hanno messo nel angolo della vergogna.

Forse già dal cartello posto all'ingresso dovevamo capire il tipo di servizio che avremmo avuto "no pizza - no patate fritte - no stress" Non avendo voluto prendere uno dei menù a prezzo fisso 45€ - 55€ - 80€. Ci hanno fatto sedere sui tavoli alti con gli sgabelli, aspettato quasi 1 ora per servirci 2 taglierini di affettati e altrettanti di formaggi, 2 litri d'acqua e 2 calici di vino, per avere un altro può di pane, siamo dovuto andare in cucina a prenderlo, in 6 persone abbiano speso 133,00 €. La qualità del cibo eccellente, ma direi che il servizio è scadente e i prezzi eccessivi.

The view is beautiful. We came for a wine degustation with cheese and prosciutto plate. They only have orange wines which for me was a bit of disappointment. The cheese plate was OK, but we had a better one in previos restaurant. We came next day in the morning again for a quick coffee as we liked the view, but they open only on 12:00. We arrived at 11:30 and asked for a quick coffee outside but they did not serve us, we were kinda disappointed.

We had a wonderful 7 course tasting menu with excellent wine accompaniment. Finished the dinner with 2003 red cuvee magnum which was still so lively, crisp and smooth. We had a pleasure also to taste 2006 and 2009. Just perfect!

We arrived a little bit late which was the reason we couldn't try the whole menu experience. For the starters we had mixed salami plate which was nothing special, even though prosciutto had potential with its richness, but it could be sliced a little bit thinner. For the main dish we had pasta with prosciutto which was again another average dish with no extra added value, of course having in mind price/food performance. The location on the other hand is amazing, both outside and inside. Maybe worth another try with full menu.

That’s a biased review as we didn’t try the food or wine there - we arrived at lunch time and were told that the place was fully booked although it was quiet and there were lots of empty tables. I don’t doubt that it could be booked, but it would be nice at least to be invited for a short drink - it’s clear as day that we don’t speak Slovenian and we can not “come back tomorrow” as easily as locals (it is not difficult at all to go to another lovely place to have a beautiful view and a great service in the area - which we did exactly - to feel not awkward but warmly welcomed)

An incredible evening From the first sip of the natural orange wine to the last bite of the 5-course dinner, it was one of the loveliest evenings we’ve ever had on our travels. We didn’t need to look at the menu. The lovely Simona sat us down and asked us if there was anything we couldn’t/didn’t like to eat. They then proceeded to serve us some of the finest food we’ve had. Nothing too crazy creative, just simple dishes with full respect to the main ingredients, most of which came from their own production. The crowning glory was a private tour of the wine cellar, personally conducted by the vinter Aleks himself. It will be hard to top this magical evening.
