Really wonderful staff; kind, extremely knowledgeable and very accommodating. Andrej walked us through everything we needed to know about traveling outside of Croatia into Slovenia, and what would be needed in terms of a vignette/insurance etc. Very lovely man, who gave us a great car. Toni was also very accommodating, with incredible communication skills and service. Mario was the last person to help us dropping off the car, and gave superior service; we will never forget! I’ve never had such a wonderful experience before from a car rental agency, and will surely rent from Garage1 again next time I’m in Croatia 🙏🏻

Very bad experience with Garage No1 at Split Airport. Upon arrival, we spent over 50 minutes trying to find where we needed to be — the address couldn’t be found using GPS, and there were no signs or directions anywhere. Once we finally arrived, we were suddenly presented with a range of extra charges, even though I believed everything had already been paid in advance through EasyTerra. On top of that, we were given a much larger car than booked (a VW Caddy XL 7-seater), even though we had specifically chosen an Opel Crossland for its higher seating and compact size. We were only two people, but there was no room for discussion. At drop-off, we were told the car had to be returned completely washed and vacuumed — otherwise, we’d be charged a fee. I’ve never encountered this with a rental during a holiday. It caused unnecessary stress and extra costs. In total, we ended up paying €227 extra, most of which we believe was unjustified. We will definitely not use Garage No1 again.

Une honte, ils ont failli gâcher nos vacances. Location souscrit avec une carte de crédit, une fois arrivé là bas, ils refusent car pour eux ce n’en est pas une malgré une preuve de ma banque. Résultat ils me demandent 550€ pour avoir le véhicule, j’ai donc du annuler la location et me refaire rembourser qu’une partie de la location car d’après eux c’est ma faute si je n’ai pas peu avoir le véhicule. Pas le premier commentaire de ce type. Bref à fuir absolument PS : la personne a l’accueil était odieuse et se moquer de nous avec son collègue car d’après lui « il y a toujours des problèmes avec ces français »

I have been renting cars annualy in Croatia since 2005. During those 20 years, I have been thru all the usual suspects, from big to small companys, in the Croatian car rental universe. Most of them have been good and some have been bad. On the top of my rental car podium, i place this company, Garage No.1. Let me tell you why. 1. They are polite and to be trusted. Never any last minute suprises. 2. They are located a 2 minute walk outside of the airport, meaning you a free from all the hustle and bustle in the car rental zone inside the airport. Trust me, youre gonna love that. 3. They always have good cars with no issues. 4. The prices are reasonable 5. The pick up and delivery process are, unlike other car rental companys i Croatia, fast and effective. 6. The staff speaks great English 7. The staff is always smiling and customer friendly 8. Garage No.1 has an excellent website. I book directly thru their site. 9. If you prepay your booking, you will get a discount. 10. Just use Garage No.1. Très mauvaise expérience avec Garage N1. Ils ont refusé m €a carte Gold pour la caution car il y avait marqué 'débit' en tout petit dessus. Je leur ai proposé de prendre la carte Gold de ma femme qui est marquée 'crédit'. Ils ont refusé au titre du fait que la carte dont être au nom de la personne qui a fait la réservation. Je leu ai proposé de changer la réservation au nom de ma femme. Ils ont refusé de le faire et m'ont demandé de payer 419 € au lieu de 147 €. J'ai donc annulé la réservation fait via Autoeurope et suis allé louer chez un autre loueur. Par ailleurs ils voulaient me faire payer 100 € pour aller en Bosnie quand d'autres loueurs demandent seulement 45 €. Ce qui est d'ailleurs tout à fait inutile car on ne nous a rien demandé à la frontière. Bref des arnaqueurs de première. A éviter absolument!

Very friendly service;-) no attempts to impose any additional insurances;-) extremely competent!! Cleaning fee is a Croatia specialty, we have paid 15 eur before hand, otherwise we needed either to clean or pay double amount - quite fair. Cars are nice and new. Easy to find - 5 min. Walk from the airport exit. Thanks a lot - we definitely recommend and would take the car from Garage No.1 :-)
