It's a place. It had is high in the 90s but now it a bit of everything Slovenia is not. If you want to experience the Slovene culture, this aint it. And if anyone tells you otherwise, they forgot what it means to be a Slovene. We are not some dystopian ex Berlin bunch of lost souls. We are the border where Balkan and Europe meet. The Europeans say we are Balkan and the Balkans say we are European. Guess what, we are both and we are none of those at the same time. Its where Latin, Germanic and Slavic meet, its where Alps, Karst and Panonia meet. Its where we were enslaved for thousands of years.. yet here we are. So if anyone tells you Metelkova is all that, they can take a hike. No offence to all the "artists" and artists there, but personally I want that place gone. It has nothing to do with being a Slovene. Its drugs and incidents I do not wish to write here. Walk down the Cankarjeva promenada, get the last few whifs of Ljubljana walking down Trubarjeva or old town. Learn about our poets, our architecs and everything they dreamed of but previous empires and nations shut down. Go learn about those.

Zona molto particolare, vale una visita. Gli edifici sono abbelliti con elaborati graffiti di vario tipo, e si possono vedere decorazioni e arredi urbani realizzati con materiali di recupero e fantasia. Nel complesso mi è piaciuto, anche se era praticamente deserto. Mi sarei aspettato di trovare qualcosa di aperto, della musica, un po' di gente...

Incuriosita dai commenti positivi ci sono andata. Arrivata a metà dell'"attrazione" sono tornata indietro perché non mi sentivo sicura. C'era solo gente poco raccomandabile.
