Great experience (as everywhere with Europcar)! Booked a staion wagon via their site and got even a bigger and almost new car (Ford Torneo) as they didn't have SWs. The staff here and in Split (a return location) was helpful and friendly. The deposit was returned near immediately after returning a vehicle. I used a credit card as always.

Je ne recommande plus Europcar pour la location de ma voiture. J'avais réservé 2 fois auprès d'Euopcar à l'aéroport, en ayant réservé avec ma carte visa française sans problème. Cette année, je n'ai pas pu prendre ma voiture avec la même carte, car ce n'est écrit que débit ( les autres années aussi), le Monsieur au guichet a refusé de me donner la voiture, au prétexte que ma carte visa n'avait que l'indication débit, il a appelé son patron, qui lui a dit de nous faire payer l'option une "full assurances", à 500 euros ( je comprends le croate), sans avoir pu lire avant le document. J'ai payé avec ma carte visa, qui a bien fonctionné. Comment peut on refuser ma carte avec laquelle j'ai réservé, mais donner la voiture en me faisant payer avec cette même carte une option?De plus, j'ai reçu une voiture, avec un niveau d'essuie glace vide, et la personne qui nous a montré l'emplacement a dit que ce n'était pas son travail de nous montrer le fonctionnement de la voiture. Je ne prendrai plus jamais Europcar. A éviter absolument.

I booked via carFlexi.com when I got to their desk at the airport I was told they have no automatic cars (despite booking one) cos all automatic were still out. I was willing to settle for a manual until I came to an pay where they didn't accepted my debit card. I understand it was written in their policy to bring "driver license and credit card" but I thought the term credit card as being used loosely. They should have specified "driver licence and credit card (NOT debit card)" I ended up having to rent from an local company that was the only one.to accept debit cards. Needless to say it cost me more than what I had reserved on carflexi.com

When i pick up the car, they told me that the car is fuel and you should bring fuel. I took Photo of benzin level when i got into car, it Was close to full but not full. İ didnt care much. But when i return i fueled the tank, the range was 350 km more than i get. Also, i rent a wv polo, you gave me a clio, yes they are similar size but not same quality. İ think a deceptive Process is being run for the customers.

We’ve always trusted Europcar for local and international trips, but our recent experience at Zagreb Airport was truly shocking. First, there were long delays at the rental counter, and instead of the reserved Jeep Avenger (a modern compact SUV), we were handed a 2008 Citroën C3 Aircross — a major downgrade in vehicle age, condition, and safety standards. Just 2 hours after pickup, while refueling, petrol leaked out like a tap, creating a serious life-threatening situation. We were stranded roadside for 2 hours with a child, waiting for a replacement — this was extremely unsafe and distressing. To make matters worse, Europcar wrongly charged us for fuel tank damage, providing misleading and inaccurate documents, including the wrong license plate and mileage. Despite clearly explaining the situation, our concerns were ignored. During those 2 hours, we only traveled on toll roads, yet Europcar charged us for driving on unpaved, gravel, or rough terrain. We had GPS evidence and all proof. In addition to this we also paid for additional full coverage insurance during booking, this insurance coverage was also declined stating invalid reasons This experience was not only unprofessional, but also unethical, unsafe, fraudulent and deeply disappointing. Absolutely do not recommend Europcar / Keddy by Europcar — be extremely cautious. (Reservation RA ZG-10870)

Be careful. In my case they kept the deposit of 250€ by claiming that: "some defects on the vehicle, after the breakdown, it was determined that the wrong fuel was poured into the vehicle during the last rental" The car (VW) when it was delivered to me had 23298Km. I took it from the special parking area at the Airport. I returned back the car at operation condition, at the same area with 23424km. I returned the key at the desk of Europcar as requested but unfortunately for me AOH. I made only 126km and they accuse me at the age of 51 years old that I had caused damage (if any...) to the car. I drive 3 cars while 2 of them are from the VW group Why nobody informed me for any damage although I had sent a message at WhatsApp the same day of the re-delivery. But after 22 days they decided that I had damaged the car (LOL). Can you please explain (if i have placed the wrong fuel) how the car was still travelling? Where is the report (not the invoice) of the authorized VW dealer that states that the damage was created during my rental period. In such a report it should mention information that made your office at Zagreb Airport to state that: "some defects on the vehicle, after the breakdown, it was determined that the wrong fuel was poured into the vehicle during the last rental" Can you please check the details of the previous rental to check if the damage (if any....) was maybe created by the previous customer? When was the previous rental? How many Km? Etc. Have you checked all these information in order to be certain that I am the one to be blamed for the damage (if any...). To my opinion this is a way for Zagreb Europcar rental, to charge random customers with additional charges. I made only one mistake….to choose them although their google evaluation is only 2,6…. Tried to complain at Europcar but I receive only standardized emails with no actual answers to my arguments. I cannot accept that any damage was generated by my actions or omissions yet I had to pay 250€. Of course for the car I had full insurance (had to pay an additional fee of 50€ for this) which of course it is well known that does not cover pouring the wrong fuel. Disappointment is not enough to express my feelings.

Son muy informales. Que nadie piense que por ser Europcar van a tener un buen servicio. Tuvimos una experiencia super desagradable con ellos, incluyendo cierta condescendencia por su parte y una larga espera porque nadie aparecía por allí, y nadie nos ha dado ninguna solución. Ni Europcar Croacia ni Europcar España (aludiendo a que son una empresa intermediaria). Acudid a cualquier otra compañía en Zagreb.

Größter Vorwurf. Europcar hat Ganz „Verflixt“ die Angaben versteckt über Grenzübertritt. Erst am vermiete Schalter in Zagreb erwartet dich eine Zettel am Pult; Grenzübertritt kostet 175-€ !!!! Bei der Buchung habe ich die Geschäftsbedingungen gesucht, aber so eine Klausel über Grenzübertritt--verbot oder Beschränkungen nicht gefunden. Hier handelt sich also um Abzocke. Europcar verdient hier volle 00 Punkte.

Fuel thieves. Car had a 20% full tank and they said just return it with more than that. Of course you’re not gonna be able to calculate how much to fill up so we end up giving them a free nearly full tank. Maybe they even pull it out of the engine to resell it, I mean why would they give a nearly empty car to a customer otherwise.

I rented a car with a full tank of 65 km, as seen in the first picture. When I returned the car, I returned it with the same amount of fuel as when I picked it up, which is shown in the second picture. However, a few days after returning the car, they deducted €25 from my deposit for fuel, claiming that I left less fuel in the car than when I picked it up, which is not true. I was told via WhatsApp that I would receive the money within 4-5 working days; this was on December 27, 2024. As I write this on January 16, 2025, I still haven't received the refund, and I don't think I will. I would never rent a car from them again, nor would I recommend anyone to do so. Such blatant theft only happens here, where they rob you so openly and then make a fool out of you. Terrible!!! Rentao sam auto sa rezervarom od 65km, sto se i vidi na prvoj slici , kad sam ga vraćao nazad , točno sam vratio auto sa rezervoarom kao i kad sam ga preuzeo sto se vidi na drugoj slici . Da bi mi par dana nakon vraćanje auta odbili od kaucije 25€ za gorivo jer navodno sam manje goriva ostavio u autu nego kad sam ga preuzeo sto nije istina. Rečeno mi je preko whatsappa da ću dobiti novce u roku 4-5 radnih dana to je bilo 27.12.2024, dok ovo pišem je 16.01.2025 i još nisam dobio povrat novca i mislim da i necu . Nikad vise nebih kod njih uzeo auto niti bi ikome preporučio da ga iznajmi . Ovakav lopovluk samo kod nas ima , da te kradu tako očito i onda još i prave majmunom . Strasno !!!
