If you've just arrived in Maribor, this is the first place you must visit. The staff inside are so helpful, and their knowledge on the city and the local attractions is amazing. I was given a map of the city, which showed the different sights and attractions I could see, the staff working their also suggested some of the better activities to do on the day (as it was raining heavily), all of which I did and had such a good time. They also have a good selection of high quality souvenirs, which is great as this was something I didn't see much of elsewhere in the city.

Das war eine sehr informative und leidenschaftlich präsentierte Führung. Der Guide hat am Ende ein gutes Trinkgeld verdient! Dass es am Ende ein Schlückchen Weißwein am Haus der alten Rebe gab, hat die Führung sehr positiv abgerundet!

Ich bin heute zum ersten mal in Maribor gewesen und mit dem PKW angereist. Die Parkplatzsuche hat sich als sehr einfach gestaltet und mit 0,80 € je Stunde vergleichsweise günstig öffentlich zu Parken. Letzteres ging einfach via App. Im Anschluss ging es dann zur Touristinformation, wo man mich freundlich auf Deutsch begrüßt und mit einem Stadtplan sowie Informationen rund um Maribor, die heimische Küche als auch den Weinbau versorgt hat. Für Kultur- oder Weinliebhaber ist hier einiges geboten. Viele Museen, aber auch gepflegte öffentliche Plätze laden zum Verweilen ein. Die Menschen waren durch die Bank weg höflich und freundlich, das Lächeln in den jeweiligen Begegnungen war von Respekt und echter Lebensfreude geprägt. Dies in Verbindung mit einem für deutsche Verhältnisse günstigen Preisniveau lässt Maribor ein gelungenes Ziel für Wochenendausflüge oder Mehrtagestouren werden. Für mich steht fest, dass ich neben der Altstadt auf jeden Fall auch das Umland, die Natur und Weingüter erkunden möchte. Met de bus vanaf de camping heel makkelijk te bereiken. Het prachtige oude centrum met z'n vele terrasjes is een absolute aanrader om te bezoeken.
