The cafe and the terrace on top of this building is one of the best locations in Ljubljana. Or so it was until around January 2022, when either new management stepped in, or they hired new staff who just can't be bothered to provide a decent service. The waiting times are long regardless of the number of visitors, tables are often dirty, and the whole cafe looks and feels run down. Since moving to Ljubljana in February 2022 we have been coming here every 3-4 weeks hoping that 'last time' was a one-off, but no. The armchairs are very worn, some tables are not cleaned, which is a shock for everyone thinking that such a location will have great service. The cakes and coffees are good, but it seems the management are doing the job just enough to not turn people away. "They'll come anyway", as the views are fascinating. Unfortunately, apart from the views, there is absolutely no reason to come to this cafe. And because entry is free, I would highly recommend popping in, taking a couple of pictures and going to any cafe nearby - you'll pay less and get a much better experience.
