Trica Gardelin is the best restaurant to offer an unforgettable dining experience, with beautiful views and a great, enjoyable atmosphere. The food is nothing short of outstanding—every dish thoughtfully prepared and, most importantly, always fresh. The service was warm and attentive to our every need, remaining professional, especially during very busy periods. I highly recommend visiting Trica Gardelin if you are in Vrboska and I guarantee you’ll have a wonderful time. I send my kindest regards and sincere thanks to the entire Mihojević family!

Nos sentaron en la terraza, se puso a llover y entraba agua por una de las lonas, nos sentaron en otra mesa, y nos hicieron levantar de nuevo para meternos en una mesa justo en la puerta de la cocina. Pedimos calamares, se fue la luz y nos dijeron que no podia hacerlos, la luz volvio a los 2 minutos y aun y asi no nos pusieron los calamares.

This disgusted me. I can’t believe they thought that putting poor animals on display in a tiny cage that they could barely move in. Pure cruelty. There was 5 Lobsters in there that could still have a life but had to be trapped in there over night even when the restaurant is closed. Appalling. Never go.

Trica Gardelin in Vrboska is a standout spot on Hvar, blending authentic Dalmatian flavors with a charming marina-side setting and warm, family-run hospitality. Set right on the water, its rustic terrace offers lovely sea views and a relaxing breeze — perfect for a leisurely dinner. We had a very enjoyable meal here. The seafood appetizer plate was fresh and well-prepared, the lobster pasta flavorful and generous, and the grilled squid beautifully done — tender with just the right char. However, the vongole (clams) didn’t quite match the rest, falling a bit flat in flavor. Still, the service was excellent — friendly, professional, and welcoming. You can tell the Mihojević family truly care about their guests and the experience they deliver. The menu focuses on local seafood, caught fresh and paired with vegetables from their own garden, plus a strong selection of Dalmatian wines. The atmosphere is warm and unfussy, with a strong sense of tradition and pride. Overall, Trica Gardelin is a place I’d gladly return to. With a few small improvements, it could easily be among the best on the island. Even as it is, it’s one of the more memorable dining spots in Vrboska — and well worth a visit if you’re exploring Hvar.

From the moment we arrived, the warmth of the staff and their impeccable attention to detail set the tone for an exceptional evening. The setting itself is stunning, with gorgeous views that effortlessly elevate the entire experience. But it’s the food that truly stole the show. Specializing in fresh, locally sourced seafood, my friend personally picked out his fish he had for dinner. The fish was perfectly seasoned and cooked to absolute perfection, while the octopus, steak and crni rizot melted in our mouths. Every dish was a masterclass in flavor, balance, and presentation—and the wine?? perfection! *chef’s kiss* And then came dessert: divine. We tried every desert on the menu— homemade creations that left us speechless and smiling. Without exaggeration, this was the best meal I’ve had in Croatia, and one of the most memorable dining experiences of my travels. So much so that we came back the next night for more! Where other restaurants overpromise and underdeliver, Trica Gardelin raises the bar—from the quality of the cuisine to the smallest of details, like the restroom amenities. That level of care speaks volumes. A rare gem that blends tradition, passion, and excellence—Trica Gardelin deserves every bit of praise it gets. BRAVO!

Eccellente service, first of all. Stunning location on the deck of turistic harbour. We have eaten a tomato soup (that is incredibile over all the Hvar Island), two pasta dishes (pasta with vongole was wow!) and a plate of grilled shrimps with spinaci. 5 stars deserved. Thanks!
