Če bi kdo vprašal kam pelješ mesnega gurmana v Ljubljani je Špajza pravi naslov. Odlična ponudba, zelo prijazno osebje in vrhunski letni vrt. Steaki pa da dol padeš, sladice in predjedi sploh ne bom omenjal, ker sta bili vrhunski. Natakar pa je poleg vsega predlagal še vino, ki je šlo skupaj s hrano kot ata na mamo:)

I'm a huge fan of Steak tartare and I must have tried almost all that are available in Ljubljana, but the one in Sorbara has a special place in my heart. In combination with great whisky selection, awesome service is the place you should definitely pay a visit.

Želeli smo na vrt. Ker je bil vrt “moker” je bilo odprto samo notri. Vrt ni bil moker, vendar osebju se pri popolnoma prazni restavraciji ni ljubilo pripraviti ene miz na vrtu, ker bodo nevihte. Cel dan je bilo jasno in mi smo pojedli kosilo v sosednji restavraciji na vrtu.

I had a lunch here. The pasta with truffles was great - spot on. I also ordered a rabbit wrapped in bacon with capers and tomato sauce. It was very delicious - expertly seasoned with hints of fresh basil and thyme. It was cooked very well - often rabbit dishes are over cooked and come out dry. This time it was just right. The sauce was outstanding. I did not care much for the green peas purée it came with - it was too heavy for the dish. For a desert I had an apple strudel with apricots. It was a disappointment - perhaps it was reheated in a microwave oven right before serving. It was soggy and tasted like canned apple pie filling. The olive oil the serve is outstanding. The service was very good. I would come here again to try other dishes on the menu. I would stay away from the strudel though. One thing that was unusual for Slovenia was that they were asking for a tip. Also they offer to pay in euro or dollars ( I have a US card ). Paying in dollars and accepting the processing bank rate in such cases is usually a rip off ( it has nothing to do with the restaurant) so be aware

A must have experience. Nice backyard , great selection of Slovenian wines and unbeatable food experience. NB: they don't list grilled octopus anymore, but the waiter was so kind that he asked the chef to cook it (and it was simply excellent). A real jewel, please stop by.
