I visited Pri Škofu on my recent trip to Ljubljana and had a most enjoyable experience, after which I will certainly be returning to the restaurant on future trips to the city. It's funny how most reviews mention the chairs... I'd read the reviews prior to actually going and couldn't understand what the big deal was- were these some ultra bitter old people with hyper-sensitive hearing leaving these reviews? But sure enough, immediately upon entering I heard the loud sounds of the chairs against the hard floors- but I couldn't help but laugh as what I'd read about came true. Anyways, onto what really matters and why we're all here, the food... it was INCREDIBLE! A real departure from more old fashioned Balkan food. I really appreciated how they bring more modern (relatively speaking) cooking techniques such as sous vide to the cuisine and really push the envelope with what they do- so many interesting combinations which I never would have thought of myself. I wouldn't call it an experimental restaurant since everything is actually 100% delectable to the traditional palette, however it's still doing some very interesting things. It's always exciting to find a restaurant like this. The waiters were all extremely friendly, professional, and accommodating, most all of them being fluent in English.

Carino dentro. Il ristorante era pieno e non era troppo tardi forse erano le nove di sera. All entrata non c era nessuno. Dopo cinque minuti arriva una ragazza '' che parlava senza guardarci '' non ha nemmeno fatto il minimo sforzo per trovarci un tavolo e ci ha letteralmente buttato fuori senza un '' mi dispiace''o un sorriso.. Non è modo per trattare i turisti e non è una questione di savoir vivre ma di etica.

We tried to make a reservation for 14-15 people 3 weeks in advance. After first phone call they told me it is possible and ask me to just send an email and they will confirm it. I sent an email right away. Since there was no answer in 2 days, I called again and other staff member told me that he will check email and reply immediately. Nothing happened. 4 days later I had to send a reminder on email, as they were not answering their phone anymore. Finally 1 week after our first phone call they told me (by email), they don't even have room for 14-15 people, so we can only sit in separate rooms. So if they can't tell you this, I will - don't make reservations in this restaurant, as you will just lose your time and nerves.

Umazana predjed, z blatom na špinači. Glavna jed. Ocvrti telečji medaljoni.. neka čudna mleta pleskavica z gobami in sladek krompir in pire krompir. Ne hvala.. Res da so ponudili sladico.. odklonjeno i nato niso računali pol litra čudnega Merlota, ki naj bi bil Kristančič.. dal napitnino in direktno kritiko. Če pa ne bi imel težav pozneje, ne bi objavil komentarja..
