Tasty local food, good variety of dishes for lunch or dessert. Štruklji is a must try in Slovenia. Location is great to get a feeling of a busy market life, hungry pigeons and tourists. It is sometimes neccesary to wait for a table, as it gets busy, but it is worth it.

We ordered classic savory cheese štruklji, cheese with taragon štruklji and meat štruklji. The portion was decent sized, very tasty and different than the štrukli I ever tasted. We sure will be back to taste other varieties.

The orange and chocolate dumpling was absolutely to die for. The savory ones (spinach and meat) were just so so. We went back later and got buckwheat and veggie soup that was very good. The staff were super nice both times. I'd definitely go back but stick to sweet dumplings. Also they sre quite filling so one per person is probably plenty. Oh and I had tea which was excellent

Excellent place to try traditional Slovenian rolled dumplings, called štruklji. Štruklji is made from dough that is rolled flat and filled with various sweet or savoury fillings. The filled dough is then rolled up and either boiled or baked until cooked. We got recommended to try two traditional štruklji flavours. Štruklji cheese and raisin flavour, also štruklji made from buckwheat flour and filled with walnut filling. Both were super delicious!

Wir sind kurz vor 18 h an einem Sonntag hier gewesen. Ein sichtlich genervter Kellner hat uns mühsam noch etwas zu trinken gebracht. Zum Glück kam dann für die Essensbestellung eine freundliche junge Frau. Leider war alles was wir gerne bestellt hätten schon ausverkauft. Das was wir dann noch bekommen konnten war ganz lecker. Wir hatten einen Strudel mit Frischkäse, einen mit wildem Knoblauch und einen mit Buchweizen und Frischkäse. Die beiden mit Käse waren etwas geschmacksneutral. Allerdings gab es massenhaft braune Butter mit Bröseln dazu. Leider hat man dann während des Essens bereits kassiert und den riesigen Sonnenschirm über uns mit Getöse eingefahren. Das wirkte auf und wirklich nicht besonders gastfreundlich. Sie hätten besser daran getan, uns gar nicht mehr als Gäste anzunehmen. Es war kein besonders entspanntes Essen. Schade, wir hatten uns eigentlich auf diese Spezialität gefreut. Vielleicht geben sie den ganzen bei einem weiteren Besuch nochmal eine Chance.

The food was flavorless. I order meat dumplings and a Jota soup. Both could have been better. The place has a nice location as it is right in the city center. To eat in the terrace is nice, although there are a lot of birds flying around and trying to get food. Some of the staff members were very nice but in general the service can improve, they took very long to take our order.
