We chose this restaurant based on the reviews. It's a small restaurant and we had to wait for about 15min to get seated, but it was worth it. The service was excellent. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the food. I mentioned to him that my friend is pregnant and he was fully aware of what pregnant women can eat and warned us that the desert/ tiramisu has raw eggs. He was lovely. The food was very good. We had a lovely time 👌We ordered bruschetta with meat as a starter. Tuna steak, Seafood pasta. They were serving Tiramisu as dessert. So nice. Small glass of wine, Miranda and 2 large bottles of wine. The bill came up to 80€ which was worth it. Portions were great. we couldn't finish the mains as we wanted to keep room for the dessert and we got the rest of the food to go.

Restaurant was hidden between residential buildings, one and only negative was that sometimes small droplets of water were dropping on us from ACs on residential buildings. Lovely restaurant with nice atmosphere.

Restaurant qui semblait bon au regard des avis. Cependant en nous y rendant, nous avons patienté 10 minutes dans le couloir devant le restaurant afin de demander s’il était possible d’y manger, mais aucun serveur n’est venu alors qu’ils nous avaient vus à plusieurs reprises. S’il n’était pas possible de manger la moindre des choses aurait été de nous le dire.

Food was fine, but it wasn’t worth the extremely long wait… There were tables around us that arrived after we had our starter, who ate, paid and left before we got our main dish. We got excuses and a “sorry” in our neighboring country’s native language (the waiter thought it sounds similar 🇩🇰🇸🇪) as the initial apology. While writing this review, we had a house made tiramisu as compensation - a more thoughtful and appreciated apology ❤️ Tak for mad 🍽️

Mladi konobar bio je vrlo društven i ljubazan, očekujemo ga opet u Rumunjskoj. Hrana, s druge strane, nije zaslužila više od 2 zvjezdice od 5.

L’Osteria nudi odličnu spizu u ugodnoj i opuštenoj atmosferi. Ambijent je simpatičan, s toplim detaljima koji stvaraju domaći ugođaj, savršen za ležeran ručak ili večeru. Mi smo jeli juhu od šparoga – kremasta i ukusna, točno onakva kakva treba biti. Puna okusa, bez da je preteška. Carbonara je bila jako ukusna i zasitna. Tuna steak je bio tek mrvicu prepečen, ali i dalje vrlo ukusan – kvalitetna riba i dobro začinjen prilog popravili dojam. Tiramisu je bio pun pogodak – lagan, prozračan i savršeno izbalansiran.

We went 2 times so far during our stay the restaurant was nice and cozy. The food was absolutely incredible, we tried 2 of the bruschettas, the sea food pasta and dalmatian risotto along with the fried calamari which were all excellent and were totally filling portions. But what made both evenings especially great and unforgettable was Josip our host who was attentive and made us feel like we were home. Highly recommend visiting.

abbiamo aspettato neanche cinque minuti per sederci e il locale era pieno, una volta seduti siamo stati accolti con un sorriso da Josip che ha reso la nostra serata molto piacevole; è stato veramente disponibile, dandoci una spiegazione dei piatti da noi ordinati non rinunciando a qualche chiacchiera in più. unica pecca riguardo il cibo è stata la pasta che era leggermente senza sale ma le bruschette da paura. Grazie Josip per l’esperienza! :)

It was soooo good. Server was great, we had to wait 5 minutes for a table for 2. If you have a bigger group it’s good to make a reservation. The bruschetta, and pasta with vegetables were great!!

Long story short - best restaurant in Zadar. The service and food was amazing, we had the waiter Josip who was so friendly and very knowledgeable about the wines and dishes! We were lucky to have come at the right time because there were already queues after we sat down but even though the place was full, food was turned over at an impressive pace but we didn't feel rushed at any point. Food was just what you'd expect from a place like this - quality ingredients cooked to perfection. I heavily recommended the mussels starter for any seafood and butter/garlic lover. The tenderloin steak was juicy and soft paired nicely with roasted vegetables that balanced the rich tenderloin. Total bill with 2 starters, 2 mains and a bottle of wine came to a little over €100 which, for the quality of food and service, is absolutely worth it for a special meal.

Went for a meal not knowing how busy it was gonna be, luckily got sat straight away! Saw a few others waiting. Josip our waiter was fantastic, funny and very chatty. He knew his wines really well and we had an amazing local bottle of white. The food was fantastic, the muscles were the star and the whole experience was wonderful I would highly recommend this spot

Restaurant à l'abri de la foule dans une arrière cours. Musique d'ambiance agréable. Serveur au top, super sympathique 👍 Carte avec pas mal de choix. Plats copieux et savoureux. Nous avons pris le steack de thon et le boeuf calabraise, ravis de nos choix. Il manque juste un peu d'air frais et ce serait parfait 😄 Je recommande 😉

This Place is the Finest Example of the Old Town Of Zadar. You Feel most Welcome from the first greeting. Mediterranean Food at its finest, at a reasonable cost. The Staff seemingly Customize your Experience from the moment you walk in. The Few Days in Zadar were Highlighted by Visiting here. Can't wait to be Visit again. 👌
