On Sunday at 4PM, when it was not at all busy, we received a very bad and slow service. We decided to sit outside for a small meal, none of the tables that were empty were clean and ready for new guests. After we have sat down a waiter came and within 10 minutes managed to clear the table and bring the menus. He hasn't said a single word. After we have ordered the food we also asked for an ashtray, he never brought one. After we finished and got the bill it took him another 10 minutes to bring the card reader. Fortunately at least food was all right, but with such aloof, nonchalant and unfriendly service it is very unlikely that we will return.

We came here a few times over the years and it used to be one of our favourites to eat in Ljubljana. But the last couple of times we've been, we were completely ignored by the waiters and had to get their attention for them to serve us. But even after that, the waiter continued to ignore us. So we just left. What a big disappointment.

Mushroom soup is the one and only thing that matters at Sokol. Otherwise, good service, located in the very center. Recommendable if you're in Ljubljana and would like to try some local cuisine.
