An incredible experience. Came here whilst on holiday with the family. My son and I shared a grilled lobster whilst my partner enjoyed a perfectly cooked streak. The food was perfect, the service was first class, and the atmosphere, overlooking the coast as the sun went down made for a very special evening.

This is the kind of place where everyone makes you feel truly welcome. The staff is simply outstanding, knowledgeable about the menu and happy to spend time explaining every detail. For guests with celiac disease, it’s a lifesaver. They are well-informed and mindful about gluten, as one of the kitchen staff also has celiac and personally ensures there’s no cross-contamination. With no dedicated gluten-free restaurants on the island, my wife was thrilled we found this place.

A phenomenal seafood restaurant in a beautiful location, with a pleasant atmosphere and knowledgeable staff. Everything we ate was top-notch. What I personally found fantastic is that the staff is well-informed about gluten (the chef has celiac disease), so I could eat without worry. They said they could adapt practically everything on the menu to be gluten-free and that they will pay attention to avoid a cross-contamination. There were several dessert options that were gluten-free. I had the brownie with ice cream – the best ever! All in all, awesome place! #gluten #glutenfree #celiac #celiacsafe

Najsrdačnija preporuka ovom restoranu! Uživala sam u jelu i doživjela toliku pažnju od osoblja. Hrana je bila jako ukusna, no ono što me posebno dirnulo bio je njihov odnos prema meni kao gostu. Imam veliki strah od mačaka, a u restoranu se nalazi jedna koja slobodno šeće, što je za mene inače veliki problem. Međutim, osoblje je odmah primijetilo moju nelagodu i učinili su sve – i više od toga – da mi olakšaju boravak. Diskretno, pažljivo i s tolikom empatijom sklonili su mačku iz mog vidokruga, stalno pazeći da se osjećam sigurno i opušteno. To možda nekome zvuči kao sitnica, ali za mene je to značilo cijeli svijet. Ogromno hvala🤍

Recommendation from the menu was perfect - we had the scorpion fish which was just like a John Dory and the service was really good. The kids were a bit chilly so they gave them blankets. Would definitely come again x

A naše velké díky patří také servírce jménem Marina, která je velmi profesionální a přátelská a díky ní, náš čas strávený v této restauraci se stal nezapomenutelným. Had a marvellous meal here. In the middle of a rainstorm. We'd not booked, and they were quite full, but they went out of their way to accommodate us. Fantastic mussels, steak cooked to perfection and a lovely "house" white wine. As for the cakes 😘. Great service, great food.

Dobili smo mnoge preporuke za restoran i od tad svake godine od kad posjećujemo Starigrad rado posjećujemo restoran “Kod Barba Luke” nekoliko puta za vrijeme boravka. Prije svega zbog nevjerovatne usluge, ljubaznih djelatnika ali ponude ribe koja svaki dan dolazi svježa. Pripremaju je na različite načine i svaki zaista izvanredno. Desert jedan od najboljih autohtonih slastica. Posjetili smo mnogo restorana na Hvaru i općenito u Dalmaciji, ali ovo je jedan od najboljih.

Great place! Great service - they were super nice and polite, offering us a real local experience with food, wine and common details. Great food - I had seafood, my boyfriend beef, and all the aditionals we took were also great. The portions were really big, we couldn't eat it all. Great atmosphere - right on the main walking area, we could really experience the city at its finest, enjoying the summer breeze next to the sea and all the boats. The tables were nicely made and prepared, neat and with all the necessary details, nothing was missing. It is preferred to have a prior reservation, but they found a table for us at the spot, so that's possible as well. I will definitely visit this place again!
