I’ve always loved this restaurant, but was disappointed this time. Charging for olive oil felt unnecessary and out of character. When choosing our fish, we asked for smaller options, but were told only large ones were available — yet 10 minutes later, the table next to us received exactly what we had asked for. We couldn’t help but feel misled. Sadly, it reflects a broader trend we’ve noticed in Croatian tourism: a shift from hospitality to short-term profit.

Absolutely fantastic dinner experience at Pojoda! We had an amazing evening here, the food was simply outstanding. I had the tuna tartare, which was incredibly fresh and full of flavour. My partner started with a fish appetizer, also delicious and perfectly prepared. The highlight for us was the spaghetti with lobster, absolutely divine. Everything we tried was exceptionally well cooked and full of taste. I also had a glass of Vugava, a local white wine from the island of Vis which was a real discovery! Elegant, fresh, and perfectly paired with the seafood. Excellent value for money as well. The service was super friendly and welcoming, and the whole atmosphere was relaxed and authentic. We were lucky to get a table late in the evening without a reservation, but I’d highly recommend booking in advance, especially during summer. A truly great restaurant with top-notch food, lovely service, and a memorable experience. Would definitely come back!

hier beim pojoda stimmt alles ,ambiente, tischdeko, service, viele und bestens ausgebildete kellner, freundlich und das essen, ein traum, tolle karte, da ich jährlich 5-6 x beim pojada bin, kenne ich die karte ganz gut, schlemmere mich durch die besten vorspeisen , bitte alle probieren, die fische perfekt gegrillt, tolle desserts, hier ist man noch gast, wenn man sich umschaut, sieht man gehobenen standart, und unglaublich, normale preise , gute weinauswahl zu moderaten preisen, liebe grüße an die familie und ans team, von anna & J o n n y u crew, bis bald, kommen im juni wieder und freuen uns schon auf ein wiedersehn

Ništa posebno Hrana ukusna,ali za te novce treba biti space shuttle Duž Visa ima puno boljih restorana s boljim ugođajem,a cjenovno su isti ili čak jeftiniji Sve u svemu mislim da cjenovno nisu opravdali ni uslugu,ugođaj ni hranu

We were really looking forward to trying this restaurant as it was recommended by a Croatian friend and also our host on Vis. Unfortunately, we were throughly disappointed! It would appear their success has gone to their head and they don't offer the service or food for which they are acclaimed. We were given menus and when ready to order were told every item we wanted to order was unavailable. One would think unavailable items would be mentioned beforehand. We wanted to order fish stew, shrimp on a skewer, fish in wine sauce and amberjack. It seemed rather odd that a fish restaurant wouldn't have their own menu items available to order, especially when some items are suppose to be made fresh (e.g. Fish in wine sauce) not ahead of time. Instead the waiter told us we could have fish stew and tuna steaks for the main. When my bf asked him to wait so we could see what else we might like to select, the waiter said "no no that's enough for two people". Oddly enough the couple next to us ordered after us and received shrimp pasta. Funny when you supposedly have no shrimp. The fish stew was mostly lentils and barley with very little fish or other seafood and the tuna steaks were probably three days old as they were over cooked and over salted. I also had an upset stomach afterwards. The meal was expensive for what we received. Not worth the money or the hype, there are better seafood restaurants with more reasonable prices in Vis. A horrible experience overall with terrible service. We will not return and would not recommend this restaurant.

Restoran je jako poznat sve poznate osobe dolaze ovdje.Hrana je bila fenomenalna a najbolje je bio tartar od tune koji sam ikada probao uzeli smo jos izbor od konobara koji je bio jako drag.Preporučio nam je rižot od sipe i rižot od graška i velikih kozica.I desert za kraj buzara od 1,5kg škampi koji su bili sočni i veliki.Cijene su bile visoke ali prihvatljive

Precijenjeno u svakom smislu! Riba je osrednja, ne znam da li radi prevelike guzve nisu uspjeli napraviti dobro ali hvale koje restoran ima nisu potvrdjene, a bome ni cijene opravdane!

We had a lovely late lunch here for a large group of 11 people - a selection of starters and then we shared three fish between us, which were grilled perfectly and the staff helped to portion and serve them. They were knowledgable in their recommendations and the food was fresh and delicious. Not the cheapest of places to eat but the quality was good.
