Ferrata Via Avalon

I climb and I’ve done several via ferratas before (granted, on the easier side), so I’m not inexperienced. But this was by far the worst experience I’ve had. Information about the route was extremely hard to find. We did our research, checked the official website, and contacted the email provided, but received almost no useful details in return. Finding the start of the ferrata took over 2 hours under the hot sun. Directions were almost nonexistent. As a result, we ended up starting at 10 a.m., much later than planned. The rental gear we were given from the village was rusty, which didn't inspire much confidence (the owner said 'self-service' and we never even met him or talked to him). As for the route itself, most of it lacked a safety cable to clip into, leaving us constantly exposed to long, potentially fatal falls. It gave me the first 3 panic attacks of my life. We thought we were doing the easy via ferrata, but we still don't know if we accidentally did the hard one, because as mentioned, directions and signals were almost non-existent. Maybe if you are really confident and experienced, this could be fun... I personally wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.
