This museum is an absolute hidden gem, especially if you love Roman history (which I can imagine you do if you come to Pula). In this compact but very informative museum you'll learn about the farming of olives and production of olive oil from ancient times till today, and at the end it's possible to partake in a tasting experience, which makes it all come together. Maja was a lovely guide and did a great job. Big recommendation!

Tolles Museum aber schlechte Erfahrung Die Ausstellung war toll, allerdings fiel der Strom in einem Raum aus und die Dame hat reagiert als wäre es nicht das erste Mal. Die Degustation war sehr lehrreich. Die Dame hat uns gefragt was wir schmecken und als wir ehrlich waren und dies nicht derselben Meinung wie ihrer Entsprach war sie nicht sehr amüsiert. Sie hatte uns dann kaum verabschiedet… es war eine seltsame Erfahrung.

Had a super fun tasting and exploring experience at the Istrian olive oil museum. You get to experience several different types of olive oil - both great products from local places in Istria or more generic to really taste the different between good quality and bad quality. You also stroll through the museum and history of olive oil production.
