Importante e ben conservato castello cinquecentesco (interni rimaneggiati e decorati nel '700) alle porte della città. Molto bello il 'Salone dei cavalieri". Interessante e ben congegnato il museo interno che, partendo dai locali reperti romani, illustra, nei secoli, la storia e la vita quotidiana della Slovenia fino ai nostri giorni.

Eravamo in vacanza alle terme, il giorno di ferragosto abbiamo chiesto alle info turistiche se fosse aperto, ci hanno risposto di sì. sul sito ed in bacheca presso castello no. c'era Il 15/8 come giorno di chiusura. Morale: era chiuso!

I'm from Brezice and sadly I didn't know we have such an amazing and rich museum, not to mention amazing knight's hall and its gorgeous wall paintings - you just have to se it. Absolutely worth a visit if you're in Brezice.

Stumbled upon this museum by accident and I am glad I did! It's placed in a huge castle, spans over 2 floors and has *the* best wall paintings I have ever seen! If anything, because of that it's worth to have a trip to Brežice. There is only 3 € entrance fee per person so it's more than worth for the money. If you are in the area, do not hesitate to visit!
