We were greeted by the very friendly Renata, whom made us feel instantly welcome. Having been riding in the rain all day, a coffee was greatly appreciated on our arrival. We were the only guests at the time and Renata went to the effort of cooking us a 3 course dinner of traditional Slovenian food. It was, quite honestly, the nicest food we have eaten so far, followed closely by the large delicious breakfast provided here in the morning. The guesthouse itself is gorgeous. The room was large and clean. Located on a farm, with very few neighbours, the only sounds you can hear are the odd distant bark of a dog or the crowing of cockerels. I would recommend Merkez to anyone. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

Wonderful hostess - very friendly with lots of useful information. Room was comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was delicious. Renata made us feel at home. We enjoyed eating fresh cherries on the patio with a glass of wine. Relaxing atmosphere puts you instantly in vacation mode. Highly recommended.

Cortesia e ospitalità, colazione ricca e abbondante, camera accogliente e curata, ottima pulizia. Ottima posizione tra le terme di Catez e quelle di Olimia. Assolutamente da ritornare.

Where to start ... They really, really never disappoint here. Food is just perfect. If you're in homemade local food it's absolutely must. Owners are really friendly and if you want you can also visit Repnica. Repnica is cave, dug in the flint-stone where taste of local wines is inevitable 😀. Experience to remember for sure ...
