Hello! We are thrilled to welcome you to our guesthouse, where we aim to make your stay both pleasant and memorable.

Accommodation

Our guesthouse features 15 uniquely designed rooms, ensuring that each accommodation offers a distinct atmosphere. Many rooms provide stunning views of the city, the historic castle, or the river, while others face the serene courtyard. Some rooms are equipped with private bathrooms, and others have shared facilities, but all are intended to provide a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Location

VIKSI City Hostel is situated in the pedestrian zone of the vibrant center of Ljubljana, housed in an 18th-century historic building. While the building lacks an elevator, the breathtaking views from select rooms of the river and the old castle more than compensate for this. You’ll be in close proximity to the essence of the old city, with all prominent landmarks, cafes, restaurants, and bars just a short walk away.

Our location puts you within walking distance of all the main attractions in the old town, including a beautiful promenade and the ancient Ljubljana Castle.

Check-In and Facilities

Guests can check in anytime after 3:00 PM and must check out by 10:00 AM. Our hostel operates on a self check-in and self check-out basis, ensuring ease and convenience for our guests. While there is no staff on-site, we remain readily available via phone and can assist if necessary.

You are welcome to prepare your meals in our shared kitchen, which is fully equipped for your culinary needs. Additionally, enjoy complimentary WiFi throughout the house, and should you require space to store your luggage, we offer secure storage lockers in the hallway for your convenience.

Excelente opción para quedarse en Ljubljana tiene una ubicación perfecta cerca de todo, ofrece una linda vista al canal y al castillo, es acogedor y una opción económica. Pro: aunque es un hostal tiene habitaciones individuales, todo está señalizado las instrucciones siempre son claras aunque no haya nadie para recibirte no hace falta, tiene calefacción, las camas son cómodas y ubicación. Hay WiFi Contra... Está en un cuarto piso, así que toma aire y sube a descansar jaja.

The main advantages to this place are the central location, the gorgeous view of Ljubljana from the window, all for a very low price.||||||The main disadvantages are the shared toilets in the hall, the 3 flights of stairs up to the room and the fact that there is no staff present. You hunt for the key, let yourself in and then let yourself out. ||||||In the end, I was more than satisfied and would return. .

Приезжали командой на соревнования. Четыре человека останавливались в двух номерах этих апартаментов. Из всех забронированных апартаментов в городе здесь били самые идеальные условия по отношению цена-качество и отношению хозяина. Он всегда был с нами на связи, помог с другими вопросами не связанными с проживанием в Люблянах. Единственный кто прислал ваучер для оформления виз. Апартаменты чистые, все есть. На этаже общая дверь для пяти квартир. Для них общая ванная комната и туалет. Дом находится на улице вдоль реки, на которой кипит жизнь :) После моста ещё пара кафешек, продуктовый магазин и дальше начинается жилой район. Потому расположение очень выгодное, и не далеко от центра, и не так шумно.

Excellent area, nice and central (make sure to stay on a Sunday so you can see the Bleg fleamarket right outside the front door!) The communal kitchen was excellent, 5 rooms with two shared shower rooms. No lift however and it is on the top floor, lots of steps - bring heavy luggage at your peril! Our room was air conditioned.

Great place in the heart of the city. It's next to the river and great view of the castle from the room. The rooms were really good, clean and comfy. There is also a kitchen so you can cook if you like but apartment location is so great that all the hotels and everything is like max 5 minutes walk. It's also 15 minutes walk from the bus/train station. Totally recommend.

I stayed here for four nights, meeting up with my son who is backpacking around Europe, and we shared a triple room. As I was landing at 8pm, I arranged an airport shuttle for €25 which saved a whole lot of hassle and got me to the rooms by around 9pm. Vadim the owner was waiting at the airport and was friendly and welcoming. He parked the car next to a bridge and we walked a short way along the pedestriansised river walk to the rooms, known as Viksi Nomad Rooms. They are at the top of a beautiful historic building and our room had wonderful views of the river and castle. We found this place incredibly homely, and the large room contained everything needed for a comfortable stay - they really seemed to have thought of everything! The kitchen was clean and very well equipped, with a large fridge and plenty of cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery etc. There were two tables in the kitchen to eat at, as well as a table and chairs in the room. Everyone washed up and cleared away nicely, and respected the property which is very well maintained. There are two bathrooms which were both clean, and provided toiletries, and a hairdryer. One also had a washing machine, and there was an iron and board in the kitchen. This place is very good value and provides an excellent base from which to see this beautiful city. We also caught the bus to Lake Bled and to the Postojnska Caves from Ljubljana, both of which were stunning. I would highly recommend these rooms as they are very clean, comfortable and homely. They are easy to find as they have a large dark wooden arched door with flags over, are not far from a bridge, and are in the old town along the river. Check in is between 3 and 6pm because the owners do not live on the premises, but can be arranged later for an extra €10. Checking out is no problem as there is a box to leave keys, and luggage may be left in the reception area if you wish to collect it a bit later, it is very safe there.
