I had an exceptional time here at the San Rocco. The hotel and restaurant were amazing. On a number of occasions the hotel went above and beyond to accommodate us. The staff are incredibly lovely.

Breakfast was great, but for other food - dinner or launch you need to book much in advance as also the guests from outside are coming. Welcome was not really nice, we just get the keys and room was shown, but not even told where and when the breakfast is, what to do/visit around the hotel, where the pool and sauna are, etc.. This is expectes for this kind of "heritage" hotel. We have been in more than 200 hotels around the world, but honestly this is not the hotel with good price/performance. Hotel is near the highway and so there is constant noise from cars... It is really loud. Outside pool is nice but was too cold as it is not heated. Inside pool is small and very old, sauna too. Rooms are old and needed much renovation, there were a lot of ants in the room, coming from every hole, so this is really terrible. Don't recommend at all. Worth maximum 60-80€ per night for 2. 2 stars just because the breakfast, otherwise 1.

Es war bereits unser 5. Besuch, in diesem oberhalb von Umag gelegenen Hotel & Restaurant. Wird bereits über 160 Jahre von der Familie geführt, sehr aufmerksam. Inzwischen renoviert, unverändert die idyllische Poolanlage, die Terrasse des Restaurants. Egal ob Stubenmädchen oder Juniorchefin alle aufmerksamst und stets freundlich. Unser Abendessen mit Fischvorspeisen und Lammgericht hervorragend! Wir kommen sicher erneut hierher!

A beautiful property with a view of the surrounding hills and olive groves. Just idyllic. Our room was a nice size with a very comfortable bed with really nice linens. Great shower! The elevator is a welcome amenity -- we'd been lugging our bags up stairs for 10 days and it was a nice change ! Breakfast on the terrace was lovely -- fruit, pastries, meat & cheese, local honey, eggs, good coffee. I wish we had more time to enjoy the grounds -- it was a little chilly to use the pool. We didn't eat dinner in their restaurant, but we ate at their casual place up the street -- delicious pizza.
